About the show
In charge of
Valco Supermarket is Gavin, who sees the company as his family and is idolised by his interim deputy manager, Julie. Permanently on the edge, Julie struggles to get any respect from the rest of the store. The meat counter is run by premium butcher, Andy, and his assistant Kieran. Andy is blessed with the ability to guess the contents of a sausage by the feel of it on his shoulder, while Kieran is hopelessly in love with checkout girl, Katie. Katie feels the same – it’s just a shame Kieran already has a girlfriend.
Completing an ensemble cast are lovable “senior person in the workplace” Margaret, dedicated but useless Leighton and the foul mouthed tannoy operators, Sue and Linda.
