A SUMMER SLEEPOVER AT THE HOUSE (SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS



1. Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. The Promoter is Sydney Opera House Trust, Bennelong Point, Sydney NSW 2000. ABN 69 712 101 035.

3. Entry is open to Facebook subscribers worldwide over the age of 13. Minimum age to participate in the Prize is 5 years of age. Adult supervision for prize winners or participants under the age of 18 is required.

4. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and agencies and companies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter the promotion..

5. The competition commences on Thursday, 15 November 2012 and will close at 4pm, Tuesday, 18 December 2012 (AEST).

6. You may only enter the competition once on the Sydney Opera House facebook page. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete or automated entries. Multiple entries from the same Facebook pages, IP address, same email address or from automated competition entry services are invalid.

7. To enter the competition, participants must ‘Like’ the Sydney Opera House Facebook page and submit the completed entry form by 4pm, Tuesday, 18th December 2012 (AEST).

8. Winners will be drawn on Tuesday, 18 December 2012 (AEST) at Level 3, Customs House, Alfred Street Circular Quay, NSW, Australia.

9. The first twenty (20) valid entries drawn will win a prize. Each winner will receive two (2) passes (Prize) which enable two (2) adults or one (1) adult and one (1) child over the age of 5 to attend the Summer Sleepover at Sydney Opera House on Friday, 11 January 2012(“Event”). Winners who are under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied at the Event by a supervising adult and the second pass is provided for this purpose..

10. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.

11. Winners will be notified by email and telephone and will be published on the Sydney Opera House website by Monday, 24 December 2012 (AEST).

12. If the Promoter has been unsuccessful in contacting any of the Winners by 12 noon, Friday, 4 January 2012 (AEST) that/those winner/s will forfeit the Prize and the Promoter will select another winner from the remaining valid entries.

13. Winners will be sent an information package about the Event via standard post. The Promoter, and companies associated with this promotion, will take no responsibility for information packages damaged or lost in transit.

14. To collect passes to the Event, Winners (or their parent/guardian if under 18 years of age) must return signed “Sydney Opera House Summer Sleepover Participant Declaration and Disclaimer” forms to the Promoter by no later than Tuesday, 8 January 2013. Failure to return the signed document to the Promoter by the specified date may result in the winner forfeiting the Prize.

15. Passes to attend the Event will be available for collection at the Sydney Opera House Stage Door just prior to the Event. Photo identification may be required. Passes will only be issued to winners who have returned signed “Sydney Opera House Summer Sleepover Participant Declaration and Disclaimer” forms to the Promoter.

16. Passes only entitle participants to attend the Event on the stipulated date and are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Prizes may not, without the prior written consent of the Promoter, be transferred, sold for commercial gain, packaged for commercial sale or used for any advertising, promotional or other commercial purpose. If a Prize is used in any of those ways, that Prize may be forfeited and the bearer of any passes associated with that Prize may be refused participation in the event. Prize value is not certain because this is a “money can’t buy” prize, however, we estimate the total prize pool value at $4,000

17. Any travel expenses or other costs associated with attendance of the Event, including but not limited to, transport, airport departure taxes, fuel and security surcharges, hotel accommodation, transfer costs, meals, spending money and visas are the responsibility of the winner. They are not included in the Prize.

18. If, for any reason, this promotion is cancelled or is not capable of running as planned, or the events are not capable of being conducted for whatever reason, due to an intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and/or recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Regulation.

19. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the Prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize.

20. The personal information you provide in entering this competition will be used by the Promoter to conduct the competition. By entering this promotion, the entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter’s database and the Promoter may use this information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding the Promoter’s products including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging. Your name and contact details may also be shared with various third party organisations, including resident companies, presenting partners and our sponsors, who may contact you from time to time regarding promotions. Such organisations must comply with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and with strict conditions governing how personal information is to be handled including applicable privacy Laws.

21. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to Sydney Opera House and not to Facebook and Promoter releases Facebook from any liability arising in connection with this promotion. Please direct any questions, comments or complaints you may have regarding this promotion to Promoter and not to Facebook.
