The sparkling romantic comedy from Oscar-winner Susanne Bier (Brothers, In A Better World, After the Wedding) follows Ida (Trine Dyrholm), who is preparing to take a trip to Italy with her husband to attend the wedding of their daughter Astrid and her fiancé, Patrick. But when Ida discovers her husband has been unfaithful, she makes the decision to take the trip alone.
At the airport, Ida accidently collides with brooding widower Philip (Pierce Brosnan) whom she discovers to be Patrick’s father. Cold and business-focused, Philip is unimpressed with the happy-go-lucky Ida. But when their children’s future happiness is suddenly jeopardised, Ida and Philip are brought together to try to set things right...
