CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and Prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry. Entry is via the Patak’s Australia & New Zealand Facebook Application only.
Entry is only open to residents of Australia and New Zealand, aged 15 years old and over. The directors, management and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, its related entities, printers, suppliers, providers and agencies who are directly associated with the conduct of the promotion are ineligible to enter the promotion.
The promotion commences at 9.00am (AEST) on 26/11/2012 and
closes at 11.59pm (AEST) on 16/12/2012 (Promotional Period).
To participate in this promotion, participants must enter via the Patak’s Australia & New Zealand Facebook App at

submit a Patak’s BBQ recipe idea and include a 25 word or less answer to the question “What makes a great Summer BBQ?”, within the Promotional Period. Participants may submit
multiple entries provided;
They submit a different recipe idea each time and,
They submit a different 25 words or less answer each timeThis is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners.
All valid entries received from 9.00am (AEST) on 26/11/2012 to 11.59pm (AEST) on 16/12/2012 will be judged to win 1 of 9 Major Prizes (awarded at the end of the promotion period) or 1 of 60 Runner’s Up Prizes (20 prizes awarded each week of the 3 weeks of the promotion). Each major prize is valued at $508 and includes: 9 x 283g Patak’s paste jars (valued at $48), a $200 Barbeques Galore voucher (for Australian residents) or a NZ$200 Bunnings voucher (for New Zealand residents), 2 x Bar-Be School class vouchers (valued at $240) and a Patak’s apron (valued at $20). Each runner’s up prize includes: 3 x 283g Patak’s paste (valued at $16). Entrants may submit multiple entries during the promotion period but will only be eligible to receive a maximum of one (1) Major prize and one (1) Runner’s Up prize. The total prize pool is valued at $5532 (including GST). All references to dollars or $ are references to Australian Dollars unless otherwise stated.Bar-Be School class vouchers are valid for 6 months for one class, which must be booked with the Bar-Be School directly and are subject to availability. Prize does not include any travel or accommodation costs associated with attending Bar-be School class.
Facebook entries will be deemed valid at the time of transmission if all mandatory fields are completed. In any dispute relating to whether entries have been received or not will be determined by the Promoter (whose decision is final). Incomplete, inaccurate, underage, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.

Any entry that contains content that the Promoter, in its sole discretion, considers to be offensive or inappropriate in any way or that the Promoter considers, in its sole discretion, to infringe any intellectual property rights or other rights of any person, corporation or entity, will be considered ineligible. The decision to accept or reject an entry is at the Promoter’s sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter, its affiliates and agents are not responsible in any way for the content or descriptions included by entrants, nor do they necessarily endorse the content or descriptions. Entries received must be the original work of the entrant. Entries received during the Promotion Period will be individually moderated by representatives of the Promoter to ensure content posted is not illegal, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, indecent, libellous, hateful, obscene, or otherwise injurious to third parties or are otherwise objectionable.
The judging, and determining of winners will be held at HOST, 1 Butt Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010 at the following dates and times.
Weekly winners will be determined at 12:00pm (AEST), the Tuesday following the entry day (see table below). All weekly winners will be notified by email within five (5) working days of the entry close period, and posted on the Patak’s Australia & New Zealand Facebook wall at

Week 1All entries received from 26/11/2012 - 2/12/2012 will be judged on 4/12/2012 and winners will be announced on 6/12/2012.
Week 2All entries received from 3/12/2012 - 9/12/2012 will be judged on 11/12/2012 and winners will be announced on 13/12/2012.
Week 3All entries received from 10/11/2012 - 16/12/2012 will be judged on 18/12/2012 and winners will be announced on 20/12/2012.
For each week of the promotion, entries will be judged by the Judging Panel. Prizes will be awarded to the entrants who, in the opinion of the Promoter’s judging panel, have entered the best recipe idea and most creative description of what ‘makes a great summer BBQ’ in 25 words.
The nine (9) Major prizes winners will be determined at 12:00pm (AEST) on 18/12/2012 and winners will be announced on 20/12/2012.
The Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
For any unclaimed or forfeited weekly prizes, the prize will be awarded to the entrant with the best creative valid entry excluding the original winners received on the applicable day on 25/01/2012at the same location as the original determining of winners. Any additional winners will be notified in writing by email on 31/01/2012.
Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Prizes must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the Prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Prize values are recommended retail price including GST.
Entrants can only enter in their own name. Entrants who provide incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information are ineligible to participate in the promotion and all entries of an Entrant who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided incorrect, misleading or fraudulent information may, at the discretion of the Promoter, be deemed invalid. The Promoter reserves the right to request the Entrant produce (within the requested time) appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoter’s satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to confirm the Entrant’s identity, age, residential address, eligibility to enter and claim a Prize, and any information submitted by the Entrant in entering the promotion, before issuing a Prize. If the documentation required by the Promoter is not received by the Promoter (or its nominated agent) or an Entrant or entry has not been verified or validated to the Promoter’s satisfaction then all the entries of that Entrant will be ineligible and deemed invalid.
It is a condition of accepting a Prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
A Prize will only be awarded following any winner validation and verification that the Promoter requires in its sole discretion.
The use of any automated entry software or any mechanical, electronic or other means that allows an Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Entrant invalid.
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person's negligence) in connection with taking any Prize or using any Prize, except any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not responsible for any problems, delays or technical malfunction of any telephone or network or lines, servers or providers, fax equipment, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on a network or a mobile network or any combination thereof, or any other technical failures including any damage to Entrant's or any other person's fax equipment, mobile handset, computer or peripherals related to, or resulting from, participation in this promotion or the downloading of any materials related to this promotion.
The Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter including but without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.
If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter including because of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster (including natural disaster), infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion and/or if necessary to provide an alternative prize or prizes to the same value as the original Prize.
If a Prize becomes unavailable, for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, then a comparable prize of equal or greater value will be awarded in lieu.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any and all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant for: (a) tampering with the entry process; (b) for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry; or (c) if the Entrant is engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
As a condition of entering this promotion, an Entrant consents to, in the event they are a winner, the Promoter using the Entrant’s name, recipe idea and 25 word or less answer to the question “what makes a great summer BBQ?” in any media for an unlimited period of time and worldwide without further notification, remuneration or compensation for the purpose of promoting, publicising or marketing the promotion (including any outcome), and/or promoting any products or services manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter and their associated or affiliated companies.
As a condition of entering this promotion, Entrant consents to the Promoter collecting personal information about an Entrant to include the Entrant in the promotion and, where appropriate, award Prizes. If the personal information requested is not provided, the Entrant cannot participate in the promotion and is deemed ineligible. An Entrant can gain access to, update or correct any personal information held by the Promoter by contacting the Promoter’s Privacy Officer at the address below. All personal information will be stored at the office of the Promoter. A copy of the Promoter’s Privacy Policy in relation to the treatment of personal information collected may be obtained by contacting the Promoter.
Expect delivery within 21 working days from when the deal ends. Delivery is made from Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm only. Please ensure there is a representative present at the delivery address to sign for receipt of the product. If a redelivery fee applies for the following reasons, you will be solely responsible for paying the fee:
If there is no representative present at the delivery address to accept the product when it is delivered
If the delivery details you have provided are incorrect
