The girls adore an ice-cold ice block and jumping around in the paddle pool and I enjoy a cold sweet drink filled to the brim with ice while I watch them. However, chocolate ice blocks or lots of sweet iced drinks isn’t something for everyday plus it is nice to mix it up a bit. Recently I discovered a lovely new product that comes in a familiar looking triangle packaging, very reminiscent of an icy treat know as Sunny Boy, which were always available from the school canteen, but this new and very tasty triangle treat is SO much better for you!
The yummy triangle treat I am talking about is Smooze. They are compact little containers of 100% natural ingredients including freshly pressed coconut milk, real fruit juices and fruit purees. No concentrates or reconstituted juices are used.
Some extra all-natural ingredients are added to them for preserving and for adding to the flavour, including, fruit pectin, citric acid, ascorbic acid, natural fruit flavours and cane sugar. Smooze is also 100% free from artificial colours & flavours and preservatives.
They are very sweet and the girls love taking them outside (a lot less messy outside!), simply tearing off the top and eating the yummy frozen sweet goodness inside. Even though I found them to be very sweet, they actually have an average 40% less sugar than other frozen treats.

They can also be used to make yummy smoothies like the Smooze Breakfast Buzz, which we tried out and although quite sweet, is very tasty!
Using a frozen Smooze Fruit Ice of my choice, I then added Banana (but could be any fruits like mango, peaches or berries), add 3/4 cup of milk and a bit of honey. You can also add some egg or LSA, but I just stuck to the simple version. It serves one and was really good but as it is quite sweet, I would happily split it with Sparky.
