While most cats seem content playing with a cardboard box and the loose strands of last year's knitting attempts, sometimes it's nice to give them a bit of a treat.

Lavish Tails is a new online store for pooches, cats and other pets that's full of swish products for all kinds of furry friends. They range from kitten scratch poles that look more like totem poles to dapper dog leashes and windbreakers.

We have some of their wares to give away to their owners: a lovely set of water and food bowls in ebony and ivory for the pooches, and some organic mermice and scrappy rats for the catty kind. The scrappy rats particularly take our fancy as they're made out of fabric off-cuts salvaged from New York's fashion district and then filled with catnip! Neat, eh? If only they came in a human, brie-filled version.
