- Entrants must be residents of Australia.
- Entrants must have a valid passport at the time of travel (January 2013), valid until a least 31 July 2013
- Entrants must have a valid paid up subscription to a television service licensed to carry TV1 or lives in the same household as such a subscriber.
To enter by internet an entrant must use a compatible browser to visit
www.tv1.com.au/sag and follow the directions there. The entrant must complete an electronic entry form and provide all details requested on the form, including first and last name, telephone, postal address and email address and answering in 25 words or less: “I need to attend the 2013 SAG Awards because………

Item 13 Special Conditions 1. Meals (other than breakfast as above), taxes, insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transport to and from departure point, additional transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included.
2. Prize must be taken and travel arranged in order to coincide with the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the LA Shrine Exposition Centre on 27 January 2013.
3. If for any reason a winner does not take the prize or an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will not be redeemable for cash and is forfeited absolutely. Prize must be taken as is, no alternative will be offered subject to the absolute discretion of the Promoter.
Additional Terms and Conditions
PARTICIPATION
1. This competition is conducted by TV1 General Entertainment Partnership, ABN 19 094 282 021, of Building 208, Lang Road, The Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park NSW 2021 (“Promoter”).
2. Entry to the Competition constitutes acceptance of these conditions. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these conditions.
3. The Competition is a game of skill in which chance plays no part in determining the winners.
4. The Competition is only open to “Eligible Entrants”, being individuals who (i) are not employees of the Promoter or any of its related corporations or any of their agencies associated with the Competition; and (ii) are not a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) of such an employee
ENTRY TO COMPETITION
5. Subject to the other conditions: (i) a maximum of one entry will be accepted per household; and (ii) no more than one entry will be accepted that states the same e-mail address for the entrant.
6. Entry can only be made by internet.
7. All entrants must ensure that their entries are received by the Promoter during the Entry Period. The Promoter takes no responsibility for late or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures in any telecommunications service or equipment.
8. All entries to the Competition may be subject to verification by the Promoter. An entrant MUST, within 2 days of being asked, at the Promoter's cost allow the Promoter to inspect and copy any documents the Promoter may request establishing eligibility to enter or win, including (i) residence; or (ii) identity.
9. The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries made by an entrant invalid if the entrant: (i) fails to establish their entitlement to enter the Competition to the Promoter's satisfaction; or (ii) fails to produce items as required by condition 810 or produces items that are in the opinion of the Promoter illegible, stolen, forged, reconstructed, altered, incomplete or tampered with in any way; or (iii) tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering; or (iv) submits an entry which in the Promoter's opinion is not in accordance with these conditions.
10. An entry by more than one person (ie a joint entry) is invalid.
11. Any costs associated with accessing the Competition Website are the responsibility of the person seeking access and are dependent on the internet service provider used.
12. Eligible Entrants must make their internet entries manually using an internet browser. The Promoter may reject internet entries if it reasonably forms the opinion that they have been entered using automated entry means or by use of a competition entry service.
WINNER DETERMINATION
No later than 15 January 2013, each Eligible Entrant’s entry will be judged based on the creativity and credibility of their answer to the question tell us in 25 words or less; “I need to attend the 2013 SAG Awards because………
Each of the two Judging Criteria will be given equal weight.
13. The first Eligible Entrant whose entry is judged best according to the Judging Criteria will win:
The next five Eligible Entrants whose entries are judged according to the Judging Criteria will each win the prize described above.
14. If any prize (or part of a prize) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter will, in its absolute discretion, substitute alternative goods or services of no lesser retail value and/or specification, subject to the approval of the authorities that have issued permits for the conduct of the Competition. The Promoter accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by a winner or any other party if any prize (or part of a prize) is unavailable for any reason.
15. Rights to receive prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
WINNERS
16. Each winner will be notified in writing (which will be sent with the prize) to the address provided. All entrants must ensure the address is filled in accurately. The notification may include instructions as to how the winner is to claim the prize and establish his/her entitlement to it.
17. In order to be entitled to any prize each winner must, if requested by the Promoter, agree to and sign: an eligibility form confirming their compliance with the Conditions and eligibility to accept the prize; and a liability release in favour of the Promoter and/or any person or other entity associated with this Competition. A winner who does not comply with this condition forfeits their prize.
GENERAL
18. If for any reason the conduct or operation of the Competition is interfered with or disrupted in any way (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, computer bugs or viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend or recommence the Competition.
19. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter or any entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise, (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Competition.
20. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROMOTION OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW IN THE EVENT THAT ANY SUCH AN ATTEMPT IS MADE, WHETHER OR NOT THAT ATTEMPT RESULTS IN ANY SUCH DAMAGE, INTERFERENCE OR UNDERMINING.
21. All of the Promoter’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
22. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax liability incurred as a result of an entrant participating in the Competition. Entrants should obtain independent tax and financial advice.
23. To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its associated companies and agencies and any of their personnel (the "Relevant Parties") exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any Eligible Entrant in connection with the Competition or prizes, including: (i) any indirect, economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss arising from the negligence of a Relevant Party; (iii) any liability for personal injury or death.
24. Each winner consents to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in any media at any time or times without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition, the Promoter and/or any of the Promoter's products.
25. Entrants' personal information will be collected by or on behalf of the Promoter to enable it to administer the Competition and publicise its winner(s) and, if an entrant consents, may be used to market its products to the entrant. The personal information of each winner may be provided to others assisting in the conduct of the Competition, including the Competition administrator, prize suppliers and deliverers, and to regulatory authorities. Persons may contact the Promoter by post at Locked Bag 1, Paddington, NSW 2021 to request access to, or corrections of, any of their collected personal information that is held by the Promoter. If an entrant does not provide accurate personal information the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win a prize.
