Calling all new Nissan Drivers Competition
METHOD OF ENTRY
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 or over only. Employees of Housing Industry Association Limited (“HIA”), Nissan Motor Co. (Australia) Pty. Ltd (“Nissan”) and their immediate families are ineligible.
3. Members who have purchased a new Nissan during 2012 are eligible to enter this competition. Simply click on the link and enter your vehicle registration number, HIA Member ID and contact details by the due date.
4. Entries open Friday 7th December 2012.
ELEGIBILITY TO WIN the PRIZE
5. The vehicle being serviced must be a new Nissan and purchased during 2012. The details must be the same as those registered in this competition.
6. HIA and Nissan reserve the right to request winners to provide proof of their compliance with the above at the nominated prize delivery address, in order to be eligible to claim the prize. Acceptance of sufficiency of proof is at the absolute discretion of HIA and Nissan.
7. In the event that a winner cannot provide proof to HIA and Nissan’s satisfaction, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. In such a case a prize redraw will be held as soon as practicable.
PRIZES
8. The prize is one of three “12 months FREE vehicle service” at any Nissan Service Centre. There are three prizes in total to be won, to the maximum value of $1646 each inclusive of GST. If a vehicle service is greater than the prize amount, the member will be required to pay the difference to Nissan. If a vehicle service is less than the prize amount, the difference is not redeemable for cash or credit.
9. No entries will be accepted for the Prize after the Competition Period has ended.
10. The prize will be drawn at the HIA, 79 Constitution Avenue Campbell ACT 2612. The winner will be notified by phone and email within 2 working days of the draw and details of the winner will be published on the hia.com website within 5 working days. The closing date and time for the draw of the Prizes are as follows:
∙ Entries for the draw will close at midnight AEST on 10 January 2013. The Prize will be drawn on 14 January 2013 at 12.00pm AEST.
11. Where the winner of the Prize cannot be contacted within 90 days of the time and date of the draw, a redraw will be undertaken on the 15th April 2013 at the office of the HIA, 79 Constitution Avenue Campbell ACT 2612 at 2.00pm AEST. The winner will be notified by phone and email within 2 working days of the draw and details of the winner will be published on the hia.com website within 5 working days of the draw.
12. All prizes are as depicted or described in the promotion for the Competition and may be subject to change.
13. Prizes are not transferable or cannot be exchanged, or taken as cash.
14. HIA accepts no responsibility for any costs loss, damages, or injury incurred entering the competition or in connection with taking up any prize.

16. All prize values are based upon the recommended Nissan Schedule Fees at the time of printing. HIA accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
17. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
18. The Promoter takes no liability for any tax liabilities or obligations that may arise from winning a prize in this Competition. All entrants should consult with an independent Tax Advisor prior to entering into the Competition in order to establish their tax liability or obligations (if any).
19. If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable or being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of either the HIA or Nissan, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law
a. to disqualify an entrant; or
b. subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate.
20. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, HIA and Nissan (including their officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal or permanent injury or loss of life; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition.
21. The Promoter will not be responsible for -
a. any technical difficulties or equipment, malfunction (whether or not under the HIA ’s or Nissan’s control);
b. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
c. any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of either HIA or Nissan.
22. All details of the entrants will be used and preserved in accordance with the Information Privacy Principles and HIA ’s Privacy Policy. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the HIA.
23. Unless otherwise notified, the HIA may use the entries and details of entrants for promotional and publicity purposes. Entrants consent to their full names and/or their entries being used in all media by HIA .
