When: Draws at 1 & 7pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays TERMS AND CONDITIONS:1. The Summer Cash Splash MGF Promotion (“Promotion”) will be held at Treasury commencing at 8am on Tuesday 8 January 2013 and concluding at the end of the final prize draw at 7pm on Thursday 31 January 2013 (“Promotion Period”). All times are listed in Australian Eastern Standard Time.
2. A total of twenty four (24) prize draws will be drawn on the Main Gaming Floor Stage, Level 1 at Treasury (“Draw Location”) during the Promotion Period. Prize draws will be held at 1pm and 7pm (each a “Prize Draw”) on Tuesday 8, 15, 22, 29 January 2013, Wednesday 9, 16, 23, 30 January 2013 and Thursday 10, 17, 24, 31 January 2013 (each a “Draw Day”) with five (5) winners drawn at each Prize Draw.
Entry requirements
3. Participation in the Promotion is open to all persons who:
(a) are 18 years of age or older;
(b) are members of the Absolute Rewards program operated by the Promoter and who have an Absolute Rewards membership card (“Membership Card”); and
(c) are not the subject of an exclusion direction or self exclusion order pursuant to the Casino Control Act 1982 (Qld).
People who meet the above conditions and continue to satisfy the conditions during the Promotion Period are referred to as “Eligible Entrants” and will be entitled to enter the Promotion.
4. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any person entry in the Promotion.
Earning Entries in a Prize Draw
5. Eligible Entrants are eligible to earn a maximum of one (1) entry for every one (1) Casino Dollar earned for gaming machine play or rated table play during the following times (each an “Entry Period”):
a. 8am to 12.45pm to enter the 1pm Prize Draw only on that Draw Day.
b. 2pm to 6.45pm to enter the 7pm Prize Draw only on that Draw Day.
Eligible Entrants may earn a maximum of one (1) entry per draw.
Prize Draws
6. Each Prize Draw Entry will be automatically allocated a unique individual entry number using the Casino Management System. The number range programmed into an approved Random Number Generator (“RNG”) will be set for each Prize Draw to include all the entry numbers for Prize Draw Entries included in that Prize Draw.
7. Entries into the Prize Draws can be generated by:
a. on gaming machine play, the Eligible Entrant correctly inserting their Membership Card into the gaming machine, recording the required volume of play and removing their Membership Card from the gaming machine during the Entry Period; or
b. on rated table game play, the Eligible Entrant providing their Membership Card to the table game croupier upon commencement of play within the Entry Period. The Eligible Entrant’s table game play will be entered via TableLink and electronically uploaded into the Casino Management System upon recording the required volume of play. An Eligible Entrant’s session of table play ends when the table game croupier swipes their Membership Card to finish off their play (failure to do this may result in an entry not being available for inclusion in any Prize Draw). It is the Eligible Entrant’s responsibility to request the table game croupier to finish off their session of play so that their Prize Draw entry may be included in the next Prize Draw; and
c. in either case, the Eligible Entrants who have earned entries in accordance with Conditions 5, 6, & 7 must swipe their Membership Card at a member kiosk during the Entry Period on a Draw Day to be eligible to enter that day’s Prize Draw.
Entries generated according to these Conditions of Entry will be included in the relevant Prize Draw (“Prize Draw Entry”).
Prize Draws
8. Each Prize Draw Entry will be automatically allocated a unique individual entry number using the Casino Management System. The number range programmed into an approved Random Number Generator (“RNG”) will be set for each Prize Draw to include all the entry numbers for Prize Draw Entries included in that Prize Draw.
9. At each Prize Draw, the name and membership number of five (5) Eligible Entrants will be selected by random selection using the relevant entry numbers for that Prize Draw (each a “Selected Entrant”). The name and membership number of each Selected Entrant will be announced at the Draw Location. Selected Entrants must be “present at the Prize Draw” pursuant to Condition 11.
10. The promoter cannot guarantee that announcements can be heard in all parts of the Draw Location or throughout the remainder of Treasury.
11. To be deemed “present at the Prize Draw”, the Selected Entrants must present themselves to a Treasury representative at the Draw Location or the Sovereign Room Desk Level 2, within three (3) minutes of their name being announced and provide suitable identification in accordance with Conditions 17 or 18 within five (5) minutes of presenting
themselves. The Selected Entrant is not permitted to send a proxy to claim a Prize. Selected Entrants that are “present at the Prize Draw” will be eligible to win a Prize (each a “Winner”). There will be five (5) Winners at each Prize Draw.
12. If a Selected Entrant at a Prize Draw does not satisfy Condition 11 or does not otherwise satisfy these Conditions of Entry, the Prize which would have been awarded to that Selected Entrant will be divided equally between the other Winners at that Prize Draw. For example, if at the 1pm Prize Draw only four of the five Selected Entrants have presented, each Winner at the 1pm Prize Draw will receive $1,250 cash each.
13. If all five (5) Selected Entrants at the Prize Draw do not satisfy Condition 11 or do not otherwise satisfy these Conditions of Entry, a redraw of five (5) Eligible Entrants will take place immediately at the Draw Location until a Selected Entrant who satisfies Condition 11 and these Conditions of Entry is found and the Prize will be awarded to those Selected Entrants who satisfy Condition 11 and these Conditions of Entry. Each Selected Entrant drawn in a re-draw under this Condition 13 will have three (3) minutes to present at the Draw Location and confirm their identity within five (5) minutes of presenting themselves in accordance with Conditions 17 and 18 in order to claim a Prize. Selected Entrants are not permitted to send a proxy to claim a Prize.
Prizes
14. A Winner will be eligible to win $1,000 cash at the 1pm draw and $2,000 cash at the 7pm draw (“Prize”).
15. The total prize pool for this Promotion is $180,000 cash.
16. Winners may choose to take the cash prize in the form of cash or a cheque or a combination of both.
Identification
17. A Selected Entrant must produce valid acceptable identification to a representative of the Promoter to confirm their eligibility to win a prize. Valid identification acceptable to the Promoter will be either one form of valid photographic identification (Passport or Australian driver’s licence) with an undamaged clearly visible photograph, or two other forms of non-photographic identification acceptable to the Promoter. A Selected Entrant must also produce their Membership Card to confirm their eligibility to win a prize.
18. The Promoter reserves the right to waive or vary the identification requirements at its sole discretion in circumstances where the identity of a Selected Entrant is determinable by a representative of the Promoter without the assistance of these or any other form of identification.
General
19. Directors, management and employees of the Echo Entertainment Group of companies (including any related body corporate as defined in the Corporations Act 2001) and their immediate families, which has the meaning given to that phrase in the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Rule 1999 (Qld) are not eligible to participate in this Promotion. The Echo
Entertainment Group comprises, but is not limited to the businesses of The Star, Jupiters Hotel and Casino, Treasury Casino and Hotel and Jupiters Townsville.
20. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for alternate prizes. Any tax liability or implication which attaches to a prize is the responsibility of the Winner claiming that Prize.
21. The Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered or claimed (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss or damage, personal injury or death, and direct or indirect loss or damage due to negligence or technical or mechanical malfunction) by an entrant in relation to entering or participating in this Promotion or taking or using the prizes offered (except that which cannot be excluded by law) except where that loss, damage or injury was caused by breach of these terms and conditions by the Promoter or the wilful or negligent acts or omissions of the Promoter. To avoid any doubt, the Promoter shall not be liable for loss caused by technical and mechanical malfunction which is outside the control of the Promoter.
22. Conduct of the entire Promotion, including decisions on the eligibility of persons to enter and validity of entry and prizes, shall be the responsibility of, and at the absolute discretion of, the Promoter.
23. To the extent that a situation or issue arises for which these terms and conditions make no provision or in relation to which the relevant terms and conditions are unclear, the Promoter reserves the right to make a decision regarding such situation or issue which is not inconsistent with these terms and conditions in its sole and absolute discretion.
24. While the Promoter intends to conduct the Promotion as offered, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or change the Promotion or a prize offered in the Promotion if it can no longer continue the Promotion or offer a prize due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s control.
25. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late or non-received entries. The Promoter does not guarantee the continuous or fault-free operation of the entry processes, including entry validating and receipting processes, during the Promotion. In the event of any technical difficulties with the Kiosk, the Promoter reserves the right to adopt a manual process of generating Entries.
26. Any entrant who tampers, or attempts to tamper, with the entry processes or tampers, or attempts to tamper with the processes used for the draws or who submits an Entry which is not valid in accordance with these terms will be subject to disqualification at the discretion of the Promoter.
27. Winners may be asked to participate in publicity or advertising at the request of the Promoter. Participation in any such publicity or advertising is at the sole discretion of the relevant Selected Entrants. The names of Selected Entrants will not be published without their consent except as announced at the Draw Location.
28. Participation in the Promotion indicates acceptance of the terms and conditions governing the Promotion. These terms and conditions will be available at the Absolute
Rewards Service Desk Ground and First Floor and Sovereign Room Desk Level 2 throughout the Promotion Period.
29. By participating in this Promotion, each entrant’s Entry/Entries becomes the property of the Promoter and may be used for the Promoter’s business analysis and marketing purposes in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy statement which can be viewed at
http://www.treasurybrisbane.com.au. Privacy law allows entrants to access their personal information held by the Promoter in certain circumstances. Failure to supply the personal information requested may result in an entry being deemed invalid.
30. It is the responsibility of all winners to determine if they have won a Prize in this Promotion at the Absolute Rewards Desk or Sovereign Room Desk. Whilst Treasury will use all reasonable endeavours to contact Winners, it is the Winner’s ultimate responsibility to claim their prize.
