Open the gates and stand clear — South Carolina’s Band Of Horses are bringing their brand of swirling, dreampop-like musical backing, soaring tenor vocals and ragged country influences to Big Day Out. Formed in 2004 by multi-instrumentalists Ben Bridwell, Band Of Horses blends roots and country sounds with an indie rock aesthetic that has brought the group legions of die-hard fans thanks to their solid albums, including Cease to Begin, the Grammy-nominated Infinite Arms and Mirage Rock the band’s latest album and it showcases their high-lonesome harmonies above a din of controlled guitar chaos.
While they're down here they'll be playing two shows, one in Sydney on the 22nd of January at The Enmore Theatre and the other January 23rd at The Palace in Melbourne, your only chance to see them outside of Big Day Out and we've got TWO double passes to give away to each of these shows!For your chance to win, email competitions@theaureview.com with the subject line BAND OF HORSES.
