Terms and conditions
EnergyAustralia Competition - Save energy and win1. Instructions and information on how to enter form part of the conditions of entry.
2. The Promoter is EnergyAustralia Pty Ltd of Level 33, 385 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia. ("Promoter").
3. 12 weekly draws and one major prize draw will be held at EnergyAustralia Pty Ltd of Level 33, 385 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, each Wednesday, starting from 17 December 2012 until 6 March 2013 at 12pm.
4. Publication of the winners details for the major prize draw will be the 8th March 2013 in The Australian.
5. Redraw for any unclaimed prizes will be held at EnergyAustralia Pty Ltd of Level 33, 385 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 on the 27th May 2013 and published in The Australian Friday 31st May 2013.

To enter, complete the game successfully by choosing five energy saving ideas that save up to (or over) $500 for a fictional house. Then complete and submit the online form available.
7. Entrants may submit more than one online entry through playing the game and submitting the online form at www.energyaustralia.com.au/energycomp.
8. Entry into the prize draws is only valid for residents in ACT, NSW, Qld, SA and Vic.9. Weekly prize: One winner will be chosen every Wednesday (12 weeks beginning 17/12/12) of the promotion period based on a draw from all forms submitted during the preceding week. Draw dates will be as follows: 19 and 26 December 2012; 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 January 2013; 6, 13, 20, 27 February 2013; and 6 March 2013.
The weekly winner will receive the following prize bundle:

(which can be used to purchase goods and services in retailers accepting EFTPOS throughout Australia).
The total value of each weekly prize is $220.10.
Major prize: One major prize winner will be chosen at the end of the promotion period based on a draw from all forms submitted during the entire 12 weeks of the promotion. This major draw does not exclude winners of the previously drawn weekly prizes. The major prize winner will receive one EnergyAustralia rewards card worth $5,000 (which can be used to purchase goods and services in retailers accepting EFTPOS throughout Australia). Major prize draw will be on 6 March 2013.
11. This is a game of skill and chance. With chance determining the winners. Winners will be drawn by random computer selection from the database of entrants. This selection will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. Winners will be contacted and notified by email (and to organise the delivery of the relevant prizes).

Total prize pool value is $764014. The name of the winner of the major prize will be published in The Australian newspaper on 8 March 2013 and on the Promoter's website from 8 March - 8 May 2013.

16. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse an entry at its sole discretion.

20. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
21. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late prize delivery.
22. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained relating to the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
23. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise for any prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought in this regard.

If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt of affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.

The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this competition.
