1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions is invalid.
2. Entry is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand only. Employees of the Promoter, the Promoter’s associated companies, the Promoter’s agencies associated with this competition and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. "Associated companies" includes without limitation, the agents and contractors of the Promoter that are involved in: (a) the promotion or development; and (b) the manufacturer or distribution of the Promoter's products. By entering the competition the participant represents that they are eligible to enter the competition based on these terms and conditions.
3. The promotion commences at 13:00 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (“AEDT”) on Monday 4 February 2013 and closes at 13:00 on Monday 1 April 2013 (“Competition Period”). The period between 13:00 Monday 21 January 2013 and 12:59 Monday 4 February 2013 is set-aside for participants to nominate a friend and to allow time for that friend to register online.
4. To enter, go to au.atkins.com and register for the Atkins Buddy Program, completing all of the mandatory fields in the online registration form provided. To be eligible for entry into the competition the participant must also register online with Atkins; registration can be found at au.atkins.com. Entry into the competition is free of charge.
5. Entry is limited to once per person, per promotional period. To be considered a valid entry, participants must nominate a friend to join them in the Atkins Buddy Program. Only once that friend has registered with Atkins and submitted the mandatory information, will that team be eligible to enter the competition.
6. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering or attempted tampering with the entry process, including but not limited to submitting an entry that is otherwise not in accordance with these terms and conditions. By providing your entry you consent to the Promoter using your personal information to determine whether any tampering or attempted tamping with the entry process has occurred.

7. Grand Prize: New York. At the conclusion of the Competition Period the five teams with the highest percentage weight loss (calculated as initial team weight at registration compared to finishing team weight at conclusion of Competition Period) will be asked to submit, in 25 words or less, their best tip for successful weight-loss. The entry deemed the most insightful response by the panel of judges, will be awarded the Grand Prize.
8. To be eligible for the Grand Prize both members of the team will need to have submitted a ‘before and after’ photograph (i.e. a ‘before’ photograph no older than 2-months prior to the commencement of the Competition Period and an ‘after’ photograph no later than 1-week after the conclusion of the Competition Period) with proof of the date the photograph was taken (for example a newspaper with a legible date) at the initial registration.
9. Leaderboard Prize Mechanic. At the conclusion of each fortnight within the Competition Period, the team with the highest overall weight loss to date (i.e. the team ranked Number One on the leaderboard) will be awarded a Westfield Gift Voucher at the value of AUD$200 per team member (AUD$400 in total). This will be determined at 13:00 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (“AEDT”) in two week increments after the start of the Competition Period (18th February,4th March, 18th March and 1st April).
10. Team Challenge Mechanic. At four points within the Competition Period the Promoter will choose a team to participate in a team challenge. The selected teams will be asked to undertake a challenge like ‘submit your best exercise tips you do with your buddy’. If that challenge is successfully undertaken the team will be awarded a Westfield Gift Voucher to the value of AUD$150 per team member (AUD$300 in total). The teams will be selected based on a set of criteria, based on their overall improvement and engagement in the program.
11. Group Challenge Mechanic. At four points within the Competition Period the Promoter will post a challenge on the Atkins Buddy Program promotional page. All registered teams will be invited to undertake a challenge like ‘submit your best exercise tips you do with your buddy’. The entry that is deemed the most insightful will see the winning team awarded with a Westfield Gift Voucher to the value of AUD$150 per team member (AUD$300 in total).
12. The Westfield Gift Vouchers will be subject to the voucher’s individual terms and conditions, including expiry dates, as determined by Westfield.

13. This competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the identity of the winners. All valid entries received during the Competition Period will be judged on their merit.
14. Entrants agree to observe a sensible weight-loss regime and not to undertake any weight-loss techniques that may pose a danger to themselves or to those in their care. For the purposes of this competition, after the third week of weight loss, The Promoter considers healthy weight loss to be a reduction of no more than an average of 1 kilogram or 1% of body-weight per week.
15. Judging of the major prize will be completed at Arnold Furnace, Level 11, 60 Miller Street, North Sydney, 2060, Australia by 10am, Monday 15 April 2013. The winners will be notified by telephone and email, on au.atkins.com and in The Australian newspaper on Wednesday 24 April 2013.
16. Total prize pool value over the promotional period is AUD$18,600. The details of the total prize pool are as follows:

17. Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise stipulated. If for whatever reason the specified prize is unavailable the Promoter reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value.
18. The prize value is correct at time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of any prizes. No responsibility is accepted for any tax obligations which may arise for the prize winner. The Promoter recommends that independent financial advice be sought.
19. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of participating in the promotion or accepting/using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter's liability is limited to the cost of replacing the prize or benefit won.
20. The winner of the Grand Prize will need to adhere to all conditions of travel to the USA, and is responsible for any and all associated costs, including but not limited to visas and fees (as determined by the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) and the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA)), travel insurance and passport processing.
21. The winner of the Grand Prize will need to embark on the trip no later than one year from the date of winner announcement, Wednesday 24 April 2013. After this date the prize and its respective value is forfeited.
22. Each entry becomes the property of the Promoter. All details will be held in accordance with the Atkins Privacy Policy which can be accessed by visiting au.atkins.com/privacy-policy.
23. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify teams that do not meet these terms and conditions.
24. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical or other malfunctions which may occur in relation to internet, network or network congestion, including problems with the transmission of entries or injury or damage to a participant or their computer related to entry

25. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or entries not received by the Promoter.
26. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
27. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner (and companions) to take part in any or all aspects of a prize, if the Promoter determines, in its absolute discretion, that a winner (and/or companions) are not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate.
28. By entering the competition, the major prize winners agree to the use of their name, image and photograph/s for publicity and promotional purposes, without compensation, and agree that the Promoter will own copyright in any such images and photograph/s and in all material incorporating the photograph/s.
29. If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by infection by computer virus, mobile phone failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion, (subject to any written direction given by a relevant Regulatory Authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition. The Promoter may in its sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
30. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promoter’s database. The Promoter is not responsible for receipt of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, telephone or computer network, or lines, servers, or telephone or internet providers, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s handset or computer related to or resulting from
