Last Man Standing, a Gospel Rock Opera, tells in music of the origins of Rock ‘n’ Roll and its genesis in Gospel Music. A key person at the birth of Rock ‘n’ Roll was Jerry Lee Lewis, whose extraordinary piano playing set the musical world alight. Last Man Standing tells his story, as well as paying tribute to Sister Rosetta Tharpe who taught Elvis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and Carl Perkins how to make music!
Australia’s own Ezra Lee has returned from Las Vegas to star in the show and play Jerry Lee’s hits. He is joined by an African American gospel singer, Jenelle Randall who is making her Australian debut in the show.
They are supported by a group of talented musicians, The Austin City Players, who play fabulous music from the era made famous by Elvis, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline.
