The Godfather of Funk and his 22 piece psychedelic circus extravaganza touch down in Australia this summer, delivering the complete 22 piece P Funk Space Circus to Australian fans for the first time since Clinton’s last full scale tour of Australia back in 2002.
George Clinton is without doubt one of planet earth’s most influential musical innovators, having inspired the likes of Prince, Afrika Bambaataa and Macy Gray; mentored Public Enemy, Eric B & Rakim and provided much of De La Soul and Snoop Dogg’s musical education.
He is the single most sampled artist in music history with his signature grooves crossing cultural boundaries and influencing a the progression of dance, hip hop, funk, soul & rock for the better part of 4 decades.
George has produced and recorded with staggering array of profile performers including the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Primal Scream, Outkast, Bootsy Collins and RZA.
George Clinton and Parliament and Funkadelic consist of a touring ensemble of singers, dancers, circus clowns, roller girls, virtuoso musicians and galactic space travelers deliver a live performance that is so energized and visually spectacular that they’re often mistaken for interstellar beings from another galaxy.
