Greg Fleet in
The Boy Who Cried Sober
Greg Fleet’s Ten Years In A Long Sleeved Shirt is widely regarded as one of the most influential and memorable solo Comedy Festival shows of all time, both here and across the globe. The Boy Who Cried Sober revisits the twin themes of love and drug addiction and asks “Just how honest was the first show?”.
While never forgetting to do a massive horsey bomb into the pool of hilarity, Fleety examines the pain, shame and destruction of life as an addict.
In this new show full of pathos, vulnerability and humour, Fleety asks all the BIG questions like, “Does waking up in a Dublin hospital have a negative effect on your international comedy career?” and examines the BIG issues such as, “when does fiction become truth…oh, silly me, that’s when you get away with a lie…”
“He succeeds in dragging us to extremes of laughter, embarrassment and pity, but mostly laughter” The Independent, London
“Hilarious, hard-hitting….hug this man today” The List, UK
“The Ned Kelly of Australian comedy. He is single-handedly responsible for shaping much of the tone of
Australian stand-up comedy (and a couple of stagecoach robberies)” Stewart Lee
