1.Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these terms and conditions. Entry into this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions of entry.
2.The promoter is V8 Supercars Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 077 053 484) of 34 Nerang Street, Nerang QLD 4211 (“Promoter”).
3.The Promotion will be open from 10:00am Australian Eastern Standard Time (“AEST”) on 6th March and will continue until 12:00pm AEST on 10th March (“Promotion Period”).
4.Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 and over who have a Facebook and/or Twitter account other than management, employees or contractors of the Promoter, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) and other agencies, firms or companies associated with the Promotion, and their immediate families (“Eligible Entrants”).
5.To enter and be eligible to win, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:

d)Complete all fields of the form including: Your answer to the Entry Question, Name, Email, Contact phone number; OR
6.An Eligible Entrant may enter the Promotion as many times as they like during the Promotion Period, providing they are submitting different answers to the Entry Question. All Eligible Entries will be assessed in the judging process.
7.Judging of all Eligible Entries received during the Promotion Period will take place from 4pm AEST on Monday 11th March 2013 (“Judging Date”). The judging will take place by a panel of judges from the AGPC at Level5, 616 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004 .
8.The one entry from the Eligible Entries that has the most compelling answer as determined by the judges (in their absolute discretion) will be announced the winner
9.The Promoter and APCG will contact the winner via phone on Tuesday 12th March 2013
10.The prize includes the following:
a) 2 x Three Day (Seasonal) World Championship Grandstand Tickets (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) to the Event. Value up to : $1,100,
b)3 nights’ share accommodation for two in a 4 star hotel in Melbourne (to be determined by the Promoters) over the Event weekend. Value up to $2000; and
c)Economy flights for the winner and a guest (Prize Companion) from the nearest capital city to Melbourne (does not include Victorian residents). Value up to $1500.
d)Opportunity for the winner to wave the chequered flag during the V8 Supercars race on the Sunday of Event (17th March 2013) and opportunity to keep the signed flag.. Value up to $2000
11.The total prize pool value is up to $6,600
12.Prizes will only be delivered within Australia for residents of Australia.
13.The Promotion involves a game of skill only and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each Eligible Entry will be individually judged according to the merit of the response provided to the Entry Question.
14.Redemption of any prize is subject to the Promoter’s absolute discretion, directions, terms and conditions (including the ticketing terms and conditions).
15.In order to redeem the prize, Eligible Entrants must be available from 15th March – 18th March 2013 (inclusive).
16.Any prize which is not claimed or able to be redeemed may be distributed at the Promoter’s absolute discretion to another shortlisted entrant.
17.Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash. All costs not included as prizes, associated with redemption of the prizes are the responsibility of the winner.
18.If the Promoter or the AGPC are unable to provide a winner with the nominated prize (or part thereof), the Promoter and AGPC reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to supply an alternative prize of similar monetary value. The Promoter accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by the winner or any other party if the prize (or part thereof) is unavailable for any reason. Acceptance of the prize is subject to the Conditions of Entry to the Event available at
www.grandprix.com.au and at entrances to the Event.
19.The judges’ decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Incomplete, illegible and incorrect entries or entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which infringe third party intellectual property rights, are not eligible to win and may be removed from the Facebook site or Twitter at the Promoter’s discretion.
20.The Promotion and the Promoter are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook in any way, and Eligible Entrants and voters release Facebook from any liability relating to the Promotion.
21.The Promoter and the AGPC reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the Promoter or the AGPC determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter or the AGPC in its absolute discretion.
22.The Winner will be required to have a blood alcohol reading of zero to be able to participate in the Flag Waving Activity. The Winner will be required to sign a waiver and release (in a form determined by AGPC) prior to taking part in the Flag Waving Activity. If required, the Winner agrees to participate in a test to determine whether alcohol is present and understands that they will not participate in the Flag Waving Activity if the alcohol reading is above zero. In the event that the race officials deem that no clear race winner is apparent and the race to be “too close to call” at the finish line, the Event race officials will exercise their right to refuse the Winner the opportunity to participate in the Flag Waving Activity and the Flag Waving Activity will revert back to the race officials. The Winner agrees that the Flag Waving Activity is not guaranteed and is subject to race officials’ final approval.
23.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the Promotion Period. Entries and votes will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries. The Promoter is not responsible for technical difficulties associated with the entry or voting mechanism and does not warrant that the entry mechanism will be available at all times during the Promotion Period.
24.If, for any reason whatsoever, the Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves its right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available, subject to State and Territory regulations.
25.Any Eligible Entrant who, in the opinion of the Promoter, tampers or interferes with the entry mechanism in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process (in the opinion of the Promoter) will be ineligible to win.
26.The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries in the event of non-compliance with these terms and conditions of entry and the Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the Promotion is final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into.
27.By entering the Promotion, the Eligible Entrant understands and agrees that the Promoter may collect, use and disclose the information provided by the Eligible Entrant on the terms and for the purposes (including marketing) set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Statement at
www.v8supercars.com.au. The Eligible Entrant understands and agrees that disclosure is made to the Promoter and is not for the benefit of or use by Facebook. The Eligible Entrant agrees that the Promoter can continue to contact them after the conclusion of the Promotion. If the Eligible Entrant would like to access or correct the personal information that the Promoter holds about the Eligible Entrant, or if the Eligible Entrant does not wish that information be disclosed, the Eligible Entrant should advise the Promoter.
28.Eligible Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image, voice and answer to the Entry Question in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) (the “Materials”) in any media for an unlimited period for the Promoter’s promotional and marketing purposes and without further reference or compensation to the Eligible Entrant.
29.Eligible Entrants acknowledge and agree that:
a.)The Promoter may use, reproduce, alter, edit and communicate to the public the Materials as the Promoter wishes at any time, anywhere, and by any means and the Promoter may license, authorise or otherwise transfer the rights in the Materials to others to do the same;
b.)The Eligible Entrant unconditionally and irrevocably consents to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe any of the Eligible Entrant’s moral rights in the Materials and present and future rights of a similar nature conferred by statute anywhere in the world whether occurring before of after this consent is given (“Moral Rights”); and
c.)The Eligible Entrant agrees not to institute, maintain or support any claim or proceeding for infringement of the Eligible Entrant’s Moral Rights in the Materials.
30.To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Promotion or accepting or using a prize. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes offered in the Promotion.
31.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from an Eligible Entrant winning a prize in the Promotion.
32.ENTRANTS ARE REMINDED AND AGREE, ACCEPT AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT MOTOR RACING, THE EVENT AND CERTAIN ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THEREWITH (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PARTICIPATION IN THE PRIZE) ARE DANGEROUS AND ACCIDENTS CAN HAPPEN. Entrants are warned that there is a possibility of an accident causing injury, death or property damage or loss while taking part in a prize. Participation in a prize (and taking part in the Event, where applicable) is at the entrant’s (and their companion’s, where applicable) own risk. Entrants acknowledge that the risks associated with participating in a prize (and attending the Event, where applicable) include but are not limited to the risk of suffering harm as a result of cars (or parts of them) colliding with other cars, persons or property. Entrants acknowledge that participating in a prize (and entry to the Event, where applicable) has a degree of danger and, to the extent permitted by law (in particular the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2013 (Vic) and the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), hereby exclude, release and forever discharge the Promoter, the AGPC, the Crown in right of the State of Victoria, the Minister administering the Act, the Minister administering the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 (Vic), Federation Internationale de l’Automobile, Formula One World Championship Limited, Formula One Management Limited, Formula One Licensing B.V., Formula One Asset Management Limited, Beta Prema (UK) Ltd, Allsport Management S.A., CAMS, Parks Victoria, the State Sports Centres Trust, APP Corporation Pty Limited (ACN 003 764 770), Event sponsors and all other persons involved in the organisation, conduct and promotion of the Event or the prize from all liability for claims, loss, damage, costs or expenses arising from any personal injury or death whether arising from negligence or otherwise, arising from or connected with participation in the prize (or part of) or attendance at the Event.
