Charming steam trains will carry passengers through the suburbs of Brisbane for a taste of history when The Workshops Rail Museum presents Steam Train Sunday starting 3 March and running once a month through to December 2013.
Chuffing out of Roma Street station, passengers will depart on a 10:10am or 11:40am trip giving the senses a historical experience from yesteryear.
Passengers young and old will sit aboard beautifully restored carriages guided by a powerful steam locomotive meandering through the river city.
Steam Train Sunday will operate on 7 April, 12 May (Mothers Day), 2 June, 7 July, 4 August, 1 September (Fathers Day), 6 October, 3 November and 1 December.
