Sargisons Diamond Ring Competition
Terms and Conditions
These General Competition Terms and Conditions apply to all competitions run by the Promoter. They may be amended or varied from time to time by the Promoter. Special Terms and Conditions may apply to particular contests in which case, the Special Terms and Conditions will be highlighted on the competition/promotion page.
1. PROMOTER
The Promoter is Sargisons Pty Ltd of 125 Liverpool Street ("the Promoter").
2. WHO MAY ENTER
The only persons who may enter and be awarded prizes are Australian residents who are over 18 years old and who are not employees of the Promoter or its related bodies corporate, or the immediate family of such employees. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin, whether or not they live in the same household as the employee.
3. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these General Terms and Conditions and any Special Terms and Conditions appearing on the website specific to the particular competition.
4. LIMITATIONS ON ENTRY
Participants may only enter the competition once, unless the Special Terms and Conditions specify otherwise. Only the first received entry will be valid if more than one entry is received from a participant. Entry is open only to all residents of Australia 18 years and older. Entrants must be able to show, upon request, proof of residency e.g. Drivers Licence.In participating in the draw, the winner agrees to participate and cooperate as required in all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner grants the promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
5. NO LIABILITY
In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation. The Promoter and their associated agencies and companies and Advertising Agencies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to State Legislation.
6. HOW TO ENTER AND SELECTION OF WINNERS
Entrants are required to supply their name and email address via the web form at
https://www.facebook.com/Sargisons. The winner will be drawn at random from all entrants on the 13th of February 2014.
The winner will be drawn at random by the Promoter on the date mentioned above. The Promoter's decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on every entrant. No correspondence will be entered into.
7. PRIZES
The prize is 1 (one) custom designed diamond engagement ring valued at $10,000 provided by the Promoter.
8. NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
Winners will be notified via email on the 14th of February, 2014. If the email address has not been supplied, that entry is counted as null and void.
9. PRIVACY
The details contained in your entry are protected by security safeguards as detailed in the Promoter's Privacy Policy, which is also available on this website. The personal information collected as part of the entry is collected to enable identification of the winner and for future marketing and promotional purposes. Your personal information will only be disclosed to the Promoter and its related bodies corporate for these purposes.
Email addresses will only be used to notify and announce winner. Information supplied as part of the entry process is being supplied to the Promoter and not to Facebook.
By entering the competition, entrants acknowledge that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administrated by or associated with Facebook. Entrants also acknowledge that Facebook will not be held liable for any reason in relation to the promotion.
