The Gallery's Australian Cinémathèque presents Monsters, a film program showcasing the baddest bloodthirsty fiends that the silver screen has to offer at Brisbane's Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) from 19 April to 2 June.

From zombies, mutants, and misunderstood monsters to mad doctors and monsterous absurdities, GOMA cinema's Monsters on film program celebrates an enduring fascination with cinematic monsters. Offering an opportunity to rediscover some of the genre's most popular films on the big screen, the program includes recent digital restorations and archival film prints from around the world.

What's on offer? How about The Cabin in the Woods, Godzilla, The Toxic Avenger, The Curse of Frankenstein, Horror of Dracula, Cronos, Hellraiser, The Lost Boys, Evil Dead II, Night of the Living Dead, Zombi 2 aka Zombie Flesh Eaters, Re-Animator, The Fly, An American Werewolf in London, Them!, Creature from the Black Lagoon... and that's just a small sample.
