Haute Cuisine, a delicious drama with a good pinch of comedy, is based on the true story of French President François Mitterrand’s private cook. Hortense Laborie, a renowned chef from Perigord, is astonished when the President of the Republic appoints her as his personal cook at the Elysée Palace. Hortense quickly establishes herself, thanks to her indomitable spirit. The authenticity of her cooking seduces Mitterand, but the corridors of power are littered with traps. The drama stars Catherine Frot, Jean D’Ormesson and Hippolyte Girardot. Brisbane News has 30 double passes to give away (total value $1000). In cinemas, Apr 24.
