Before the birth of our first child I spent hours researching products both online and in store that we would need. Usually there were a few different brands and product designs choices for every item we needed, so I tried narrowing down the options by short listing what each product offered. I went about comparing the features the product did or didn’t have, the ease of use of the product, the brand name, the warranty and of course the price. It helped make it clearer when it came to decision time. I must say the time put into researching paid off the majority of the time and we did have products that were fantastic and couldn’t imagine not having them once baby arrived.

Of all the items we did buy I would say the hardest to decide on was a pram. With so many choices, brands and designs it was tough to figure out which one to go for. The pram we ended up getting did a pretty great job but one of the main downsides was the weight. It was terribly heavy and the thought of lifting it and putting it in the back of the car did sometimes unfortunately put me off using it. It has been amazing to watch how much since then prams have transformed and evolved with technology. So many new materials being uses, more features and so much lighter!

One of the newest prams to the Australian market is the Out ‘n’ About. Although they may not be well know in Australia they are certainly well know in the UK, as one of the leading brands of prams.

I have been lucky enough to be trying out the Out ‘n’ About Nipper 360. The pram, as the name suggests, is ideal for going Out ‘n’ About. Be it to the shops, park, school runs or anywhere in between.

The Nipper 360 is a 3-wheeled pram that I have been really impressed with. I love the amount of features it has and the ease of use. It has been enjoyable to use and not something that you dread having to get out or put in the car!

There are a whole bunch of features that I am a fan of and anyone with an infant to a 4 year old would love the thought that has been put into this pram.

Here are my top nine reasons why I have loved using the Out ‘n’ About Nipper 360 Single -

My absolutely favourite feature of the Out ‘n’ About is the storage. Just like a home can never have enough cupboards, a pram can never have to much storage and the Nipper 360 gets 5 stars for this. There is the large, expandable storage pouch attached to the back of the seat of the pram. There is also the large storage basket that attaches under the pram and is strengthened with a plastic insert preventing items from dragging like mesh storage does (I have learnt my lesson with this one). The storage basket comes standard with all Out ‘n’ About Nipper 360’s sold in Australia. There is also the multiple storage pockets on the canopy which makes life so easy when traveling. They are perfect for storing small items like tickets, phone, keys, books, drink bottles and toys.
A close second is the weight of the Out ‘n’ About. At just 9.8kg it is so easy to lift and use. The Nipper 360 single is made from strong aluminium and is the lightest full-sized 3-wheeler (with 12 inch wheels) currently in Australia and when you unfold it, fold it and put it in the car you can really tell the difference, especially to my now old school pram.
It is compact and I mean compact for a 3-wheeler. It has no trouble getting through shops with small aisles or aisles with products on the floor (see picture below). The wheel base has specifically been designed to be narrow (at 61.5cm) so you can get around easily and would be a definite plus when it comes to public transport as well. When folded away it is also compact enough to fit in hatch backs and of course no trouble in larger cars like ours. It leaves plenty of room for groceries etc and if desired the wheels can also be removed.
Folding the Out ‘n’ About is a breeze and it doesn’t have to be folded to the ground. The pram remains upright as you fold so less bending. Bonus!
Who ever developed the Nipper 360 has really had their thinking cap on. They have been smart enough to include a removable pram liner so you can keep you pram clean much, much easier!! It also attaches into place using Velcro so it can’t slide around. They even have made a removable cover for the bumper bar so even when there is caked in banana it can be cleaned! So simple, yet so brilliant!
The pram also has been designed with excellent safety in mind. It not only has a very easy to use and strong foot brake that can be put on with one-touch, but when you unfold the pram it locks initially with the red secondary locking catch and then you click down the strong plastic catches on both sides too. It is fantastic to know your little one is safe. While folded these is also the extra red plastic latch so it stays nice and secure while traveling.
The generous size of the sun canopy is another big plus for me. In Australia I think a big sun canopy is essential and the Nipper 360 has an excellent sized and easy to use one. Providing plenty of shade for your little one while you can still see what they are up to by looking through the peek-a-boo window. The sun canopy has excellent mess ventilation at the back too, so you know if using a rain cover there is plenty of fresh air.
My old pram had a terrible set up when it came to reclining the seat, so much so we avoided using it.  I instantly feel in  love with the simple and smart way you can adjust the recline on the Nipper. Using strong teeth like grip you simply slide the lock up or down to secure in the right position. Love it!
It has built-in heavy duty suspension (non-existent in my original pram) and it makes it a really smooth ride and a very easy pram to push. The pneumatic tyres (which have a 90 degree easy fill value! smart!) also help make the ride more comfortable too.
The Out ‘n’ About is just so practical. Being ideal for the school run, to the shops, to the park and even for a brisk walk (although not recommended for jogging), it is a pram that has been so well thought out, that I can’t help be impressed and wish this was around 4 years ago! The 2 year warranty is an added plus that gives extra confidence in the Out ‘n’ About brand. I would love to see an accessory to hold drinks at the handle, it would be a little extra bonus for convenience more then anything, but the Out ‘n’ About pram is definitely something I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to anyone to check out and try while they are in store.
