1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open only to all residents of Queensland. Must be able to show upon request proof of residency e.g. Drivers Licence.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Queensland Newspapers Pty Ltd trading as News Queensland and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The competition commences on Saturday June 8, 2013 at 12:05AM (AEST) and concludes on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 11:55PM (AEST) (“the Competition Period”).
3.2
To enter the draw for the prize/s as outlined in section 5, entrants must go to couriermail.com.au/competitions and click on the War Horse entry page, submit the online entry form including the entrant’s full name, address, suburb, state, postcode, day contact number and email address.3.3 Entrants may only enter in the competition once with a valid email address.
3.4 Phone, email and SMS entries are invalid and will not be accepted.
3.5 The Promoter, its agents, affiliates or representatives will not be liable for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
3.6 Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
4 HOW TO WIN
4.1 Each entrant who has entered the competition over the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with clause 2 and clause 3 will be entered into the prize draw. The draw/s will take place at News Queensland, Cnr Mayne Road and Campbell Street, Bowen Hills Qld 4001 at 10:00am on Monday, June 17, 2013.
4.2 Entries not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be considered valid and will not be included in the draw. Indecipherable or incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
4.3 The Promoters reserve the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity (including phone bills) in order to claim the prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
4.4 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoters, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or entry, or who has, in the opinion of the Promoters, engaged in conduct in entering the promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the promotion and/or Promoters. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify a winner if the Promoters become aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.
4.5 The prize winners will be notified via email/mail within 5 business days of the draw.
4.6 Subject to any written directions given, an unclaimed prize draw will take place at News Queensland Cnr Mayne Road and Campbell Street Bowen Hills Qld, 4006 on Friday July 12, 2013 at 10:00am AEST. The new winners will be notified via telephone by 5:00pm Friday July 12, 2013. The early unclaimed prize draw is due to the date of the event, to which the prize is valid.
5 PRIZES
THERE ARE TWO MAJOR PRIZES AND THIRTY RUNNER UP PRIZES TO BE WON
Prize allocation will be determined by the order of the draw.

• Overnight accommodation on Saturday July 27, 2013 for two (2) people at the Stamford Plaza, Brisbane staying in a Deluxe room with included breakfast, parking for one (1) vehicle and late checkout at 1:00pm on Sunday July 28, 2013
• One merchandise pack including an official War Horse programme to the value of $110
The first pool of fifteen (15) runners up will receive:
• Two (2) ‘A Reserve’ tickets to War Horse, QPAC on Wednesday July 24, 2013 at 7:30pm
The second pool of fifteen (15) runners up will receive:
• Two (2) ‘A Reserve’ tickets to War Horse, QPAC on Thursday July 25, 2013 at 7:30pm
TOTAL PRIZE VALUE $10,654.00 INCLUDING GST
5.1 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Prize is only valid for the dates stipulated in clause 5. In the event that any prize item is unavailable; the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners. The prize is strictly as stated above. All other costs are the responsibility of the prize winner.
5.2 In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners grant the promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
6 NO LIABILITY
6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation.
6.2 Queensland Newspapers Pty Ltd trading as News Queensland and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
6.3 Queensland Newspapers Pty Ltd trading as News Queensland and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
6.3.1 during the draw;
6.3.2 whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the draw; or
6.3.3 in the participation in any prize;
6.3.4 as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
6.3.5 due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;
6.3.6 in relation to failure of a mail entry being received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion;
6.3.7 arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion;
6.3.8 due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.

6.5 If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to State Legislation.
