Gypsy & the Cat announce their new single – the mesmeric track “It’s A Fine Line” – and June tour.
The band went looking to create a richer musical world for their sophomore album – the 90′s esque, psychedelic wrapped bass line of “It’s A Fine Line” being a good example of that.
In keeping with the melancholic brilliance of the first single ‘Bloom’, the band haven’t been desperate to convert everyone from their more seasonal debut album, instead they have gracefully let people explore their new music, as the band did themselves creating it. ‘The Late Blue’ has just been released in the US to considerable critical attention “Gypsy & The Cat straddles this line throughout The Late Blue– honestly and unabashedly conveying their influences, while maintaining elements of novel originality and a cultivated sound that’s all their own” …Pretty Much Amazing Blog.
