JON English and the Foster Brothers are Beating the Boards Again.

Thirty years after first releasing Beating the Boards, the multitalented English is once again teaming up with the Foster Brothers - John Dallimore, Keith Kerwin, John Coker, Peter Deacon and Greg Henson - and touring Australia.

The "original line-up" is hitting the road to play a series of concerts which, for die hard English fans, is said to be unmissable.

English recruited the Foster Brothers in 1981 for a tour of Germany and Scandinavia, where they won the award for Best Concert by Visiting Artist in Norway.

Beating the Boards was released in 1983.

It was followed by their collaborations Some People and Jokers and Queens.

They supported Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers in 1986, the same year they released their last album together, Dark Horses.

"It was huge fun," English said.

"We were very creative and wrote some great songs together.

"I really loved working with these guys.

"It's just such a great sound.

"I can't wait to get back on the road with them again."

English and the Foster Brothers will stop at Wests New Lambton for one show on Wednesday, July 3. Tickets are available from the venue or online at PROticket at $44 for club members and $49 for non-members.
