How to enter:
Read through the Terms & Conditions below, by submitting your photo to us you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. One entry per category, per entrant (multiple entrants will be disqualified).

Entering the Competition The PrivateFly Private Jet Photography Awards(the “Competition”) is open to anyone aged 18 and over subject to paragraph 2 below.
Employees or agencies of PrivateFly Limited (PF) its group companies or their family members, freelance contributors to PF or anyone else connected with the Competition may not enter the Competition.
The Competition is open to all photographers (both amateur and professional).
For the purposes of this competition, 'Private jet' or 'private aircraft' means piston, turbo prop and jet aircraft that are primarily used for non scheduled air charter services. Images of helicopters and scheduled airline aircraft will be excluded from the competition.
To enter the Competition, you must email one high resolution jpeg photographic image (maximum size 2MB or 2000 pixels wide) the subject of which relates to the specific category to
photos@privatefly.com. You must state which of the categories you are entering and you must include your full name, address and daytime telephone number.

You are responsible for the cost (if any) of sending your Competition entry to us.
The closing date and time of the competition is 31 August 2013 at 23.59 GMT. Entries received outside this time period will not be considered for the competition..
Only one entry is permitted per person, per category. The winner shall be the owner of the email address from which the selected winning entry is sent.
By entering the competition, you grant PrivateFly a free, non-exclusive, irrevocable international licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the shortlisted and winning images for any purpose directly connected with the competition. This may include, but is not limited to:
On the PrivateFly.com and other PrivateFly websites;
On a secure web browser for judging purposes;
For use in press coverage giving information about or promoting the competition;
For use as part of the PrivateFly Private Jet Photography Awards “Winners Archive” to promote the competition/exhibition in perpetuity;
PrivateFly will make every effort to ensure that name credits are included with images;
Free usage of any photograph outside of the scope of the competition will not be permitted by PrivateFly, or any of its partners.
For any use that falls outside the scope of promotion of the competition (as detailed above) royalties will be discussed & negotiated with the photographer concerned.
Entrants retain the copyright to images submitted.
Entrants agree to take part in competition and exhibition publicity if required
In order to use entries as intended and advised in these Terms and Conditions, (i) PF may need to modify entries, including but not limited to resizing, cropping or colour adjustment as necessary, provided that PF shall endeavour in undertaking such modifications to maintain the integrity of your entry as originally created; and (ii) PF shall provide a picture credit for all entries.
You own the copyright to your Competition entry as its author. Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use, must not include any trademarks, and must not show inappropriate or dangerous behaviour, or otherwise be obscene, defamatory, distasteful, offensive, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or in breach of any confidentiality obligations owed by you to third parties. If PF has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions, then PF may not consider it and may disqualify it.
Picking the winners
The judging panel will choose one winning entry per category from all the valid Competition entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (the “Category Winners”) and one overall winner from these Category Winners, the "Overall Winner".
When choosing the Category Winners and Overall Winner, the Judges will be looking for the most well composed, artistic and original image that evokes the best interpretation of the category
The Judges’ decision will be made after the closing date of 31 August 2013. The Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Prizes
The Category Winners will each receive a cash prize of £250 (or equivalent in another currency).
The Overall Winner will win a cash prize of £1000 (or equivalent in another currency) and will be given a photography account with Alamy, as a featured photographer if the overall winner submits to Alamy 10 images or more (including the winning picture), Alamy will give 100% commission for the first sale, or £150 (whichever is the most), up to the cash value of £500. The winner will then also receive a 'featured photographer' profile on Alamy's website. The Overall Prize does not include anything other than the elements stated above.
Each category Winner and the overall winner will be notified by PF by telephone or email by 31 October 2013
If the category winner or overall winner do not respond to PF within 21 days of being notified by PF of their win, then the prize may be forfeited and the Judges shall be entitled to select another winner (under the same terms as above).
The category winners and overall winner will have their photos published on PrivateFly.com and any other PF websites.
We retain the right to substitute the prizes with another prize of similar value in the event that the original prize offered is not available.
Some other rules
Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
We take no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.
The names of the winners can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the following address: PrivateFly photo competition, Censeo House, 6 St Peters St, St Albans, UK AL1 3LF.
No purchase is necessary.
By entering the Competition, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your Competition entry, and for the purposes outlined in these terms and conditions.
The Promoter of the Competition is PrivateFly Limited whose address is Censeo House, 6 St Peters St, St Albans, UK AL1 3LF. Any complaints regarding the Competition should be sent to this address.
PF accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting any prize. PF further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.
PF reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of PF in all matters relating to the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
PF shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Competition where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and entrants to the Competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
