Overachiever Lauren (Miller) is suddenly on her own after her boyfriends breaks up with her. Her old friend Jesse (Long) points her in the direction of a beautiful apartment, but fails to mention his other friend Katie (Graynor) lives there. Lauren and Katie share a history from college, and can’t stand each other. But Katie is about to lose her dream apartment unless she can find a roommate, and despite their distain for each other they reluctantly move in together.
Lauren soon discovers that Katie is working as a phone-sex operator, and after overcoming her initial shock decides to get in on a good business opportunity. Things go remarkably well as Lauren runs billings and Katie runs the sexier side of the business, but eventually Lauren herself must step into the role of phone vixen.
Their newfound friendship finds unexpected challenges that threaten to leave them both hanging on the line. With sharp dialogue and true-to-life moments, For a Good Time Call is cheeky, hilarious and bursting with depth and poignancy.
