10 x The Lone Ranger: Wanted CDs, courtesy of Universal MusicScore the soundtrack to ‘The Lone Ranger’, which features the mix of songs that Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski listened to on set.
Inspired by the blockbuster western, The Lone Ranger: Wanted features fourteen new songs performed by an eclectic group of artists that includes the raw rock of Iggy Pop, the light pop of Ben Kweller, the folk sounds of Iron and Wine and the gutsy soul of Lucinda Williams. See tracklist below for more.
Of compiling the soundtrack, director, Gore Verbinski, said: “These are the artists we listened to on the way to set each morning and in the evenings with the dust, like bitter chalk, upon our teeth. Echoes of their passionate performances in our minds, for 150 days and nights, we took to the work of storytelling.”
