http://www.smithjournal.com.au/blogs/arts/the-imposter-dvd-giveawayThe Imposter (DVD giveaway) More than proving that truth is stranger than fiction, The Imposter shows the truth is whatever we want to believe.
After he'd been missing for three years, the devastated family of 13-year-old Texan Nicholas Barclay had given up all hope. So when he re-appeared they were overjoyed, regardless of the impossibly bizarre details: he was found in Spain, his physical features were markedly different, and he could no longer speak English without an accent.
The story made national headlines in the U.S., and the twists that unfold in the first 10 minutes of this documentary are just the beginning. While it answers some questions about the unique case, The Imposter also points to some excellent, unsolvable problems.
The film is now available on DVD, digital download and in good stores.
