August Reading Contest

Where Do You Read in Winter?

August can be a chilly month, making you retreat indoors in search of comfort. Where’s your favourite spot to get cosy with a good book? We find readers can be very specific, down to the type of chair, distance from fireplace, breed of cat that must be curled up underneath it, flavour of the tea in the mug beside them … Then again there are those who prefer a table at their local coffee shop.

Tell us in 25 words or less, where you like to read in winter and engage us in your reading experience —the most appealing description could win you $150 of products from Reader’s Digest Direct.

For a revealing dialogue about books between two women writing to each other in winter, read our Encounters extract from Talking About Jane Austen in Baghdad.

Competition closes August 31st 2013
