Review from Gloria Marr
Callan The Color years.
Edward Woodward gives an electrifying performance as a reluctant professional killer working for British Intelligence.
Callan became a national phenomenon in the late 1960’s, making Woodward one of the highest profile actors on television and paving the way for his eventual career in America on shows like the The Equalizer.
Created by James Mitchell, this series explores the dingy, twilight world of the professional spy.
This series was, up to the point of the James Bond films, television’s most realistic portrayal of government espionage and although it’s now a bit dated, it will still have you glued to your seat.
This prize set contains all twenty two color episodes from series three and four, the majority of which have been unseen for over twenty years.
So, make sure the kettle and coffee pot are near by, as you wont want to miss any part of this fabulous series of six disc’s which run for 1100 mins!
Released on DVD August 7th
