Information on how to enter and details of prizes form part of these terms and conditions of entry. Submission of an entry is deemed to be acceptance of these terms and conditions. The promoter may in its sole discretion refuse to award any prize to an entrant who fails to fully comply with these terms and conditions.
Entry is open to all Australian residents who are aged 18 years and over.
Employees, management and directors of the promoter and their immediate families together with retailers, suppliers, agencies and/or companies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. “Immediate family” refers to spouse, defacto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent). An entrant must be an individual and not a company or organisation.
The promotion commences on Monday 1 July 2013 and concludes on Thursday 29 August 2013 at midnight AEST.
All entries must be made via the website
www.matesintow.com.au. Participants must enter the promotion by submitting their details on the website. Participation is limited to one entry per person. No scripting is allowed for on-line entries (which will be deemed invalid).
Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid. Any incorrect details submitted will render the entry invalid.
All qualifying entries will be automatically entered into a manual prize draw for a chance to win the 6 Day Bathurst Corporate Package. The winner will be drawn by hand at 12pm AEST on Friday 30 August 2013 at Cequent, 49 Pacific Drive, Keysborough, Victoria 3173.
The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and/or address) and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry not in accordance with these terms and conditions. Failure by the promoter to enforce any of its rights will not constitute a waiver of those rights.
The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will be notified by phone and email within 24 hours of the prize being drawn. The winner's details will be published in The Australian newspaper on Saturday 7 September 2013. The winner may claim their prize by contacting the promoter on the details provided in clause nineteen (19).
The first valid entry drawn by the promoter will be deemed the major prize winner and will win the following package:
- Five (5) nights’ accommodation for up to four (4) people (1 x Double Room and 1 x Twin Room) at the Ben Chifley Hotel in Bathurst. Check in Wednesday 9 October 2013, check out Monday 14 October 2013.
- Sydney airport pick up (9 October 2013) and drop off (14 October 2013) if applicable.
- Daily track transfers to and from the hotel on the day of the racing (Saturday and Sunday).
- 1 x 4 day ART (Auto Racing Tours) Corporate Pass per person. This includes access to a corporate suite, Saturday and Sunday reserved table seating, hot buffet lunch, beer, wine and soft drinks and full access to television monitors for viewing of races.
- 1 x 4 day Access Pass to the V8 Supercar Paddock per person. This is the area where the vehicles are available for viewing, restricted to pass holders only.
- ART Representative on-site.
- 1 x Day Tour of Bathurst per person. Scenic drive around Bathurst, including lunch on 10 October 2013.
- Morning and afternoon tea (Saturday and Sunday).
- 1 x Official souvenir event program per person.
- 1 x ART Travel Pack per person.
- Return economy flights for up to four (4) people to Sydney from nearest capital city on Wednesday 9 October and Monday 14 October, if applicable.
- Apparel and merchandise.
Total prize package to the value of $13,647.00.

The winner must notify Cequent of details for each travel companion, including but not limited to full names, phone numbers and full addresses, and must provide Cequent with the completed booking and merchandise forms (for personalised apparel/merchandise included in the prize package) by 4 September 2013. No name changes will be permitted after this date. Please note that any delay in providing Cequent with the above details may result in delayed delivery of the merchandise and documentation.
The prize package is non-transferrable, non-refundable, non-negotiable and not redeemable for cash.
The winner (and their companions) are responsible for all other expenses including but not limited to spending money, meals, drinks and transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs.
The winner (and their companions) may only extend their stay in Bathurst at their own expense.
The promoter reserves the right to finalise travel arrangements based on the winner’s location.
In the event that the winner is unable to redeem any component of the prize by the prize fulfilment date stipulated by the promoter, the prize will be forfeited by the winner. No cash or other prizes will be awarded in lieu of the forfeited component(s) of the prize.
If the winner forfeits the prize or provides contact information that is invalid or is unable to be contacted for any other reason, a re-draw will occur at 12pm AEST on Wednesday 4 September 2013 at Cequent, 49 Pacific Drive, Keysborough, Victoria 3173. The winner of the re-draw will be notified immediately by phone and email. The name of the winner of the re-draw will be published in The Australian newspaper on Saturday 14 September 2013.
The promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any errors in email transmission which may delay notification to prize winners.
The promoter and its associated agencies will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered by any entrants, the winner, or their companions or for any personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of receiving, taking and using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
The promoter and its associated agencies will not be liable for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserve the right to take any action required in relation to any of the above events.
The promoter and its agents will not be liable in any way howsoever arising to the extent that the promotion is prevented from proceeding by events beyond the promoter's reasonable control including, without limitation, any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the promoter’s ability to proceed with the promotion on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism. The promoter may, in its absolute discretion, cancel the promotion and recommence it on the same terms and conditions and with the prior approval of the relevant state legislative authorities. No changes to these terms and conditions will be made without prior consultation of the relevant regulatory authorities.
The promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion. The entrant must provide all required information in order to be eligible to participate in the promotion. By submitting an entry to the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments as required and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the promoter.
