In the magical realm of Shimmervale, Mariposa™ has been sent as the Ambassador of Flutterfield to bring peace between her fairyland and their rivals, the Crystal Fairies of Shimmervale. Mariposa™ does not make a great impression on their king, and a misunderstanding causes Mariposa™ to be banished from fairyland and forced to leave her new friend, the shy Princess Catania™.
Disaster strikes when Mariposa™ and Zee encounter a dark fairy, who is on her way to destroy Shimmerval. Mariposa™ must rush back to help princess Catania™ to save the fairyland.
