1. Standard Terms
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry
2. Who Can Enter?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2 entry is open only to persons who purchase an Adult or Concession single day or two day entry ticket online via ticketmaster.com.au for the 2013 Brisbane Boat Show on 6 – 9 September at the RNA Showgrounds. Entrants must be able to show upon request proof of residency e.g. Drivers Licence
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Marine Queensland and Stefan Boating World and Ticketmaster and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
3. How to Enter
3.1 To enter the competition, entrants must purchase a ticket to attend the 2013 Brisbane Boat Show on 6 – 9 March at the RNA Showgrounds, Brisbane via the events online ticketing service –

To purchase a ticket means to complete a valid online transaction with Ticketmaster. Entrants must select the option to enter the competition on the online ticket purchase form. Only fully completed forms will be accepted and must include their full name, email address, mobile phone number and postcode.
3.2 The competition opens on Monday the 29th of July 2013 at 12:00pm and closes on Monday the 9th of September 2013 at 12:00pm
3.3 Entrants under the age of 18 years must obtain the prior permission of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years before entering the competition.
4. Prize
4.1 There is one (1) prize, a $12,999 (inc GST) Razar Cat.
4.2 One (1) prize winner will be drawn randomly on Monday the 9th of September 2013 at 3:00pm Brisbane Time. The winner will receive a Razar Cat valued at a retail price of $12,999.
4.3 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for anything other than that which is outlined above, including cash. In the event that the prize item is unavailable; the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners. The prize is strictly as stated above. All other costs are the responsibility of the prize winner.
4.4 Each entrant who has entered the competition during the competition period and registered all details in accordance with clause 3 or clause 4 will be entered into the prize draw.
4.5 The winner may be announced on the Brisbane Boat Show website and the Brisbane Boat Show Facebook page (subject to the web-editor’s decision). The prize winner will be notified by phone or mail, with a prize letter within seven days of the draw.
4.6 The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
4.7 If the major prize winner does not claim their prize within three (3) months of the draw, a re-draw will take place at Marine Queensland, 6 Overend St, East Brisbane QLD 4169 on Monday 9 December 2013 at 2:00pm.
4.8 By entering the competition, and checking the “Tick here to receive information from Marine Queensland (MQ) and Stefan Boating World, the entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the specified companies’ databases and the specified companies may use this information at any time in the future for promotional and marketing purposes regarding their respective products or services including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging.
5. NO LIABILITY
5.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation.
5.2 Marine Queensland and their associated agencies, members and companies will take no responsibility for the prize if damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
5.3 Marine Queensland and their associated agencies, members and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
5.3.1 during the draw;
5.3.2 whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the draw; or
5.3.3 in the participation in the prize;
5.3.4 as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
5.3.5 due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;
5.3.6 in relation to failure of an SMS entry message to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion;
5.3.7 arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion;
5.3.8 due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.
5.4 Marine Queensland and its affiliates assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
5.5 If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised
intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the
control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration
security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the
Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to State Legislation.
