TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the competition conditions. 2. Competition entry is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. Prize:
a) There are four prizes:

2 x tickets to BIGSOUND live (Wednesday 11 – Friday 13 September 2013, Fortitude Valley) 2 x tickets to Brisbane Festival: Big Scary (Sunday 21 September 2013, The Spiegeltent)
2 x tickets to Brisbane Festival: Calexico (Wednesday 18 September 2013, The Spiegeltent) 2 x tickets to Listen Out Festival (Sunday 6 October 2013, South Bank)
2 x tickets to Harvest Festival (Sunday 17 November 2013, Riverstage)
b) The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash
c) Limit of one prize per person
d) Any additional expenses incurred by the prize winners, other than those outlined in these terms and conditions, are the responsibility of the winners. Prize winners are themselves subject to the specific terms and conditions of the providers.
4. Competition period:
The competition commences at 12:01pm Friday 30 August 2013 and closes at 12:01pm Friday 27 September 2013 (4 week duration). Each week there will be a new prize.
Week 1 (30 Aug-6 Sep): BIGSOUND tickets
Week 2 (6-13 Sep): Brisbane Festival tickets
Week 3 (13-20 Sep): Listen Out Festival tickets
Week 4 (20-27Sep): Harvest Festival tickets
5. How to enter:
1. Like ‘The City Sounds’ Facebook page
2. Answer 3x quiz questions
2. Provide full name, email address and postcode
4. Entrants are able to submit one entry per day per prize.
5. Entrants can share the competition for more entries – one extra share equals one additional entry.
6. Eligibility:
To be eligible to enter this competition a person must:
a) Answer quiz questions. NOTE: Entrants do not have to get quiz questions correct to win prizes as this is a game of chance, not a game of skill.
b) Be a permanent resident of the state of Queensland
c) Not be an employee or contracted staff of Brisbane Marketing, a sub-unit of administration of the Promoter d) Be over the age of 18 (proof of age may be required to receive prize) or have the consent of one of his or her parents or guardians to enter the competition.
7. Competition Draw:
A new winner will be chosen at random every Friday at 12:01pm throughout the duration of the competition - 6 September 2013, 13 September 2013, 20 September 2013 & 27 September 2013. The drawing of the prize will be conducted at Brisbane Marketing at 157 Ann St Brisbane QLD 4000.
8. Winner Notification:
Prize 1: The winner will be notified by 5pm via email on Friday 6 September 2013. Prize 2: The winner will be notified by 5pm via email on Friday 13 September 2013. Prize 3: The winner will be notified by 5pm via email on Friday 20 September 2013. Prize 4: The winner will be notified by 5pm via email on Friday 27 September 2013.
If no reply email is received within two working days the prize will be re-drawn. The prize will be posted to the winner within two working days of their confirmation response.
9. No Liability of Promoter: The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained in connection with the entry into the competition or acceptance of the prize. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the prize.
10. The Promoter reserves the right to alter or amend these terms and conditions and/or to cancel the competition at any time prior to the competition opening without further recourse to the entrants.
11. Important – Privacy: By entering into this competition, the entrant consents to information (including personal information) given by the entrant being stored on the Promoter’s database for use by the Promoter for the purpose of internal statistical analysis relating to the Promoter’s competitions and to for inclusion in the Promoter’s database. By entering into this competition, musicians/bands consent to Brisbane Marketing using their photo, bio and songs for digital marketing and media purposes.
12. Force Majeure: If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter), which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition.
13. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to disqualify all entries from any individual without notice who tampers, attempts to tamper or benefits from tampering with the entry process (including and not limited to the use of online voting exchanges, communities or software in order to gain extra votes); any entries that Brisbane Marketing consider manipulative, unrepresentative or inappropriate; any individuals found entering who corrupt or affect, or attempt to corrupt or affect the administration, fairness or proper conduct of the entry process.
14. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it’s determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
15. The Promoter of the competition is Brisbane Marketing whose principal offices are at Level 8 Roy Harvey House, 157 Ann Street, Brisbane.
