Murder, drugs, transvestites, infidelity and a head case. What else does a film titled Filth need to live up to its name?
Filth is a British drama/comedy with a kick. Based on Irvine Welsh’s grimy novel of the same name, the story starts in Edinburgh where a corrupt, bipolar junkie policeman, Bruce Robertson (James McAvoy), is assigned to solve a murder case that his colleagues are involved in. Robertson begins his quest to turn each cop against one another by messing with their family and exposing their secrets. As the plot thickens the crazy cop loses his grip on reality and his whole world is turned on its head.
