 Terms and Conditions

    Information on how to enter the promotion forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Any entry not complying with these terms and conditions is invalid. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
    The Promoters are Air New Zealand Ltd of Level 11, 151 Clarence Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000 (ABN 70 000 312 685) ("Promoter").
    The promotion commences at 5.00pm on Tuesday 7 January 2014 and concludes at 10.00am (AEST time) on Wednesday 29 January 2014 ("Promotion Period").
    Entry is only open to Australian residents 18 years of age or over who comply with the entry criteria in accordance with these terms and conditions. Directors and employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, participating agents and their agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of each entry. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process.
    To enter, an eligible participant must answer the competition question and complete all details on the online entry form.
    All entries will be judged based on the content and creativity of the answer to the question in clause 5 above. One (1) winner deemed the most deserving and creative will be chosen by 5:00pm (AEST time) on Thursday 30 January 2014 at Level 11, 151 Clarence Street, Sydney NSW 2000. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner.
    The result of the judging is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The name of the prize winner and their answer to the entry question may be published across Air New Zealand Australia social media platforms (including Facebook and Twitter).
    The winning entry will win: Two (2) return Economy “The Works” airfares flying from the nearest Australian airport Air New Zealand operate from to the airport of their choice in New Zealand that Air New Zealand flies to.  Prize is inclusive of government taxes and surcharges. The prize also includes $1,000 AUD spending money.
    The maximum total value of the prize is up to AUD$5,000 inc. GST (depending on point of departure). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation of the value of the prize. If the prize winner does not accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited. Proof of identification, age and residence may be required in order to claim the prize.
    The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize as stated. The prize is not transferable to another person or exchangeable for other goods and services and cannot be redeemed as cash, other goods and services or sold to a third party. Prizes that are unused will be forfeited and no compensation will be paid in lieu of that element of the prize. Tickets will not be exchanged for another destination.
    Outside of the components specifically stated in clause 8, spending money, meals & refreshments, taxes, surcharges, travel insurance, fuel, passports, visa requirements, transport to and from departure city, event merchandise, additional transfers and all other ancillary costs are the sole responsibility of the winner.
    If the winner cannot travel in accordance to these terms and conditions, the prize will be forfeited. If for any reason the winner does not take an element of the prize during the stated period, and on the conditions, stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize. Flights will be made by the Promoter and confirmed by email. Flight schedules are subject to change without notice. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination.
    The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a Prize with a substitute Prize of equal or greater value and the Prize Winner will be notified accordingly subject to state regulations.
    Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
    If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
    Prize winners must, on request by the Promoter, be able to provide evidence which, to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter, demonstrates that the winner is an Eligible Entrant and has complied with these Terms and Conditions.
    Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. The name of the winner may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter, unless a winner otherwise notifies the Promoter at the time of accepting their prize. All eligible entrants consent to the Promoter using information supplied as part of each entry for promotional purposes and facilitating the conduct of the promotion; including the entrants’ first name, last name, email and contact phone number.  The promoter will not release personal information collected such as phone number and email address.
