How can I enter the Facebook competition?

For your chance to win a monthly prize pack, follow these easy steps:

    Pick up a Pioneer Valley passport from one of the locations listed above.
    Take a photo of yourself and/or your family and friends enjoying the natural beauty of the Pioneer Valley.
    Post your photo on council’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mackayregionalcouncil.

Winners will be drawn at the end of February, March, April and May by Mackay Tourism’s General Manager, Stephen Schwer. You can enter each month, as many times as you like! For the full Terms and Conditions, please see the bottom of this page.

How can I enter the grand prize?

As well as the monthly prizes, you can go in the draw to win our grand prize – the ultimate Valley Getaway, worth $2500! To enter, follow these steps:

    Pick up a Pioneer Valley passport from one of the locations listed above.
    Collect unique passport stamps from a minimum of five different destinations in your passport.
    Complete your name, address and phone number in the section provided.
    Submit your entry in one of the following ways:

    Drop it into a council service centre at Mackay, Mirani or Sarina
    Post to PV Passport/Mackay Regional Council, PO Box 41, Mackay QLD 4740

You can enter as many times as you like and entries must be submitted by Monday, June 2 to be eligible for the grand prize draw on Queensland Day – Friday, June 6. The draw will take place at Melba House. For the full Terms and Conditions, please see the bottom of this page.


Pioneer Valley Passport Terms and Conditions

    Information on ‘how to enter’ and prizes form part of the conditions of entry.
    Enter as many times as you wish, once you have secured five or more passport stamps from participating businesses.
    No purchase is required to receive a stamp from a business – only one stamp per person can be received in one visit.
    Entry is open to all Australian residents, who are not current employees or immediate family members of Mackay Regional Council.
    A completed entry comprises of an entrant securing five individual pages stamped by the official stamp from the participating businesses.
    Completed entries are to be submitted by Monday June 2, 2014.
    The winning entry for the major prize will be drawn on Friday June 6, 2014 and the winner announced in the Public Notices of the Daily Mercury on Wednesday, June 11. The major prize consists of a Valley Getaway, worth $2500.
    A monthly prize will be offered in February, March, April and May during the competition. You can enter as many times as you like to be eligible to win the monthly prize by placing a photograph on council’s Facebook page.
    The judge’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected submissions.
    Winners will be notified by phone after the prize draw. If a winner is unable to be contacted or respond within five days of the draw, the prize will be forfeited.
    The prize cannot be redeemed for cash.
    Mackay Regional Council accepts no responsibility for injuries sustained, additional costs or property loss as a result of accepting this prize.
