Did you know that the word numeracy means more than just numbers? Numeracy is about looking for patterns and relationships so that children can analyse and categorise their world.
Our March stories focus on the theme of 'Everyday Numeracy'.
By reading the featured books and doing the related activity you can help young children develop mathematical concepts such as counting, sorting, ordering, classifying and measuring as well as shape and colour recognition. Best of all - it's fun!
We hope you enjoy exploring numeracy in your everyday activities throughout the month.
