A fistful of the best Spanish-language flicks are set to heat up cinemas around the county.
The Spanish Film Festival is set to roll out soon with a programme packed full of highlights including the award-winning Living is Easy with Eyes Closed, which follows a smalltown schoolteacher on a roadtrip to meet John Lennon; Scorpion in Love, an unsettling drama which stars Javier Bardem as the leader of a neo-Nazi group; The Forest, which has drawn comparisons to Pan’s Labyrinth for its dark fantasy tale set during the Spanish Civil War; the nail-biter, Seventh Floor, which features superstars of Spanish language thrillers, Ricardo Darin (The Secret In Their Eyes) and Belen Rueda (The Orphanage); and Three Many Weddings, a romantic comedy, which proved the biggest hit at the Spanish box office last year.
