Entry is open to Australian residents 16 years and over.
‘Eligible union member’ means a financial member of any union that is currently affiliated with Union Shopper.
Employees of Union Shopper Inc and JB Hi-Fi Group Pty Ltd and their immediate family members are not permitted to enter.
To qualify for an entry into the draw, eligible persons must fulfil at least one of the following between Friday 20 December 2013 and Sunday 30 November 2014:

Refer an eligible union member, with the eligible union member notifying Union Shopper of the referrer’s name, union and contact details by either completing the online form at
www.unionshopper.com.au/win2014 OR by completing the 2014 Union Shopper Directory of Services form (original or photocopy) and submitting it to Union Shopper by mail (to PO Box 524, Spring Hill, Qld 4004), fax (to 07 3859 9980) or email (to
competitions@unionshopper.com.au).
The following will render an entry invalid:
If the referred email address/es are not a valid email address format.
If the referred email address has been generated through the utilisation of spam software; or
If the referred email address has been submitted multiple times from a unique referrer.
The first valid entry drawn will win a single prize of a $2000 Bose Cinemate 1 SR Digital Home Theatre System Package (or equivalent model should this product become unavailable). The prize is not transferable. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be refunded or replaced.
The total maximum prize value is $AUD2000.
The competition commences on Friday 20 December 2013 and closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 30 November 2014.
Multiple entries are allowed provided that the relevant eligibility criteria are met for each entry.
The winner will be randomly drawn electronically at 1.00pm AEST on Wednesday 10 December 2014 at 25 Baxter Street Fortitude Valley Qld 4006, with the winner being notified in writing by Wednesday 17 December 2014.
The competition will be drawn by the Marketing and Business Development Manager at Union Shopper whose decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner does not need to be present at the draw in order to receive the prize.
Once the winner is determined and announced it will be published in The Australian newspaper on Tuesday 23 December 2014 and at
www.unionshopper.com.au/win2014 If the prize is not claimed by the winner within three months of the initial draw, a redraw will take place at 1.00pm AEST on Wednesday 18 March 2015 at 25 Baxter Street Fortitude Valley Qld 4006, with the winner being notified in writing by Wednesday 25 March 2015 and announced at
www.unionshopper.com.au/win2014 and in The Australian on Tuesday 31 March 2015.
The winner consents to his or her name, image, suburb of residence and union name being used by Union Shopper for marketing and promotional purposes.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
(i) inaccurate/incorrect transcription of entry information;
(ii) purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
(iii) any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
(iv) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;
(v) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;
(vi) electronic or human error that may occur in the administration of the competition;
(vii) any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winner; or
(viii) any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
The Promoter will not be liable for personal injury suffered during prize winnings.
These conditions do not affect, and are not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its servant or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the cost of having the prize supplied again.

(iii) if an entrant does not truthfully provide all requested personal information, the Promoter may determine that he or she is not eligible to win the prize.
