COMING to the Port is a two-man show that peels back the layers of one of the Beatles' famous songs, Glass Onion, and the messages John Lennon etched into it.
A song about crystal ball-gazing and peeling away the layers of life, the national tour of Looking Through A Glass Onion will either take audiences on a trip down memory lane or introduce them to the life of one of the most iconic artists of our time.
On Friday, June 20, Nelson Bay Diggers will fill with crowds coming to see the highly acclaimed show.
The tour originally started in 2010 at the Sydney Opera House but after a sell-out two-week season there was demand to keep it running.
Before the men knew it their performance dates were being extended throughout 2011 and 2012 and they sold more than 65,000 tickets nationwide, becoming one of the top-selling Australian artist tours in recent years.
Even after they had finished the 137-date tour, which went from 2010 to 2012, star John Waters said interest did not fade.
"It never ceases to amaze us how many people still request to see the show, even after our last lengthy tour, we're constantly getting emails and messages asking when is the show coming back," he said.
Waters said the show had received an overwhelming response, especially from younger audiences, even those with little Beatles knowledge.
Tickets for the Nelson Bay performance are on sale now.
Get in to see the show before the production is taken to New York's Off Broadway.
