“What’s your journey in jeans?”Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the Jeanswest promotion (the Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The promoter is Hijacked, brought to you by oOh!media Pty Ltd ABN 44 094 713 210, Level 2, 76 Berry Street North Sydney NSW 2060 (the Promoter).
1. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD
The Promotion commences at 0.01am (AEDT, Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time) on Tuesday 20 May 2014 and closes at 11.59pm (AEDT, Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time) Sunday 15 June 2014.
2. ENTRY
Entry is free and open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who are currently enrolled in tertiary education. Entrants must be able to show proof of eligibility on request.The officers, management and employees (including immediate family) of the Promoter, or their related bodies corporate, are not eligible to enter the Promotion.
To enter the Promotion, entrants must go to www.hijacked.com.au, register as a Hijacked user, go to the ‘win’ tab, follow the prompts and answer the following question in 25 words or less:
“What’s your journey in jeans?”Entrants must provide their name, contact phone number and email address where indicated. Entries in any other form are invalid and will not be accepted.
Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. The Promoter’s decision to disqualify an entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.
Automated entries, bulk entries and third party entries are not allowed and will be disqualified. Entries from known spam email sources will also be disqualified.
Entrants can enter the Promotion once only.
3. SELECTING A WINNER & RUNNER UP
Ten winners will be selected to receive one Jeanswest jeans voucher to the value of $100. This promotion is available in Australian Jeanswest stores only. Winners will be selected based on the most creative and relevant entries, as judged by the Promoter at its absolute discretion. This Promotion is a game of skill. Entrants will be judged on the individual creativity and relevancy of their submission. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
The Promotion will be judged by the Promoter on Tuesday 17 June 2014. The winners will be notified via the email address or telephone number supplied upon entering the Promotion and will be announced on
www.hijacked.com.au on Wednesday 18 June 2014.
If the winner and/or the runner up do not claim their prize within two days of the winner being announced, the prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to the next best entry as determined by the Promoter.
4. PRIZE DETAILS
The ten winners will receive one Jeanwest jeans voucher to the value of $100.
Total prize pool value: $1,000.00
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. If the prize or any part of the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter will endeavour to provide a substitute prize of equivalent value & nature. All prizes will be supplied and fulfilled by the Promoter.
5. MISCELLANEOUS
The Promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of or in connection with the Promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the reasonable control of the Promoter including, without limitation, technical malfunctions or failures.
If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, subject to any written directions under applicable legislation. The Promoter also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in the Promotion.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered by any entrant or winner (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking any prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
By participating in the Promotion, entrants and winners agree to co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winner (and their companions) will not be entitled to any fee for such use. The prize winner and runner up also consent to the Promoter passing their details onto third parties who are providing services or fulfilling any element of the prize.
The prize winner and runner up must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) and social media activity (including blogging, posting and tweeting from the event) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material. The winner and runner up agree that they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
All entries and any copyright subsisting in Promotion entries become and remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects contact information about entrants in order to contact them about the Promotion and where appropriate award prizes. The Promoter may also use the information to assist in improving goods and services and to contact entrants in the future with special offers, via any medium including mail and commercial electronic messages. If you do not provide the information, you cannot participate in the Promotion.
The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information for the purposes set out in these Terms and Conditions and related purposes including to process competition entries and improve its products and services. The Promoter or any of its related entities may contact entrants by any means (including email) to inform about goods, services, or promotions which may be of interest to entrants. The Promoter may also share entrants’ information with other persons or entities who assist the Promoter in providing services, running promotions or with other companies who provide prizes for promotions.
