A romantic thriller set in 1962, The Two Faces of January sees an unsuspecting young man drawn into a world filled with lies and manipulation by an enigmatic and charming couple. When con artist Chester MacFarland (Viggo Mortensen) mistakenly kills a detective – who has tracked him down from the United States to Greece – Chester escapes to Turkey, bringing his wife (Kirsten Dunst) and the trusting young man (Oscar Isaac) along with him. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith, the film marks Hossein Amini’s directorial debut.
