Oh, Owen Penglis. Can you spare some time to record your own band’s next album between recording them for other people’s? Organisations like Royal Headache, Circle Pit, Gooch Palms and such. (Read ‘and such’ as anyone doing interesting things related to garage rock). Turns out he found the time, which means the Straight Arrows have a new full-length out Friday June 13.

Also, a nationwide tour commencing the very same day. The second, fuzzed-out album gives monumental form to the bummers of everyday life. Like a Salvation Army couch carved out of fine mahogany. Their live show – refined over a recent trip to the US – should exhibit similar characteristics. Ragged, yet somehow polished.
