Wild Deer & Hunting Adventures are passionate about wildlife, hunting and photography. We are ever blown away by the incredible shots that are sent in by our readers ( YOU! ), so we thought what better way to showcase your fantastic images than with this exciting photography competition!

Wild Deer & Hunting Adventures in conjunction with premier sports optics manufacturer SWAROVSKI OPTIK are pleased to announce the:

Thanks to our generous sponsor, SWAROVSKI OPTIK, every entrant will go into the running to win a new pair of SLC 56 HD – 15 X 56 SWAROVISION binoculars worth AUD $3000 RRP! SWAROVSKI OPTIK optics are produced with the BEST Austrian engineering and high-class workmanship, they are committed to the development and production of long-range sports optics of the highest precision and optical luminosity.

This is how it works -it’s EASY! Simply send in your images ( these can be part of a separate submission e.g. Live Critters, Story Comp, … ) to Wild Deer & Hunting Adventures. Submissions are open to any subject matter involving hunting in the great outdoors: Wildlife, Landscape, Trophy Shots, Hunting and Travel. Images must be taken either hand held or using a tripod. Automatic image-taking devises are not permitted e.g. Trail Cams. Competition will be high so every issue we will publish a photo tip to help you capture the best shot that you possibly can. Check this page every issue for your handy photo tip.

Competition is open to any person who resides in Australia. There is no age restriction. The winner will be hand picked by an independent judging panel and the image voted the best overall will win a new pair of SLC 56 HD – 15 X 56 SWAROVISION binoculars!

Photo tip 1

Use other objects to frame your subject

PHOTO REQUIREMENTS:
Digital images to be High Resolution JPG, TIFF (or equivalent). Images are not to be digitally manipulated, the exception being cropping or basic contrast/ colour correction. Wild Deer & Hunting Adventures reserve the right to colour correct, crop and apply basic corrections to each submitted photograph at their discretion. There is no limit to how many times you can enter throughout the year, however choose wisely and only your BEST – competition will be high! Photos must not have appeared in any other publication, and must appear first in Wild Deer & Hunting Adventures. Copyright remains the property of the photographer, however by entering the competition the photographer grants Wild Deer & Hunting Adventures the right to publish any image free of charge and without limit.

WHO CAN ENTER:
The competition is open to any person who resides in Australia. Winners will be announced after the 31st of December 2014 in Wild Deer and Hunting Adventures magazine and the website- www.wilddeer.com.au
Photo tip 2

FRAMING:
Framing leads the eye to a main focal Point.
Use the foreground and background to ‘frame’ your subject.
Blur the foreground or use other objects to frame your subject.

IMPORTANT:
When submitting your images specify CLEARLY (Especially if images are part of a submission into another section of the magazine e.g. Live Critters, Story Comp …) exactly which image you are submitting for the SWAROVSKI OPTIK PHOTO COMPETITION. Competition closes on the 31st Dec 2014.
