AUSTRALIA DAY is the best time of the year to get the barbecue fired up and the backyard cricket going.
With the day fast approaching, there has never been a better time to enter the Daily Mercury Great Aussie Day BBQ Set competition.
Contestants can go into the running to win a Weber barbecue and stand, valued at $639; a Daily Mercury marquee, valued at $110; and a cricket set, valued at $25.
To enter the competition readers must complete the entry form available in the Daily Mercury and place it in an envelope marked Daily Mercury "Great Aussie Day BBQ Set" with your name and address on the back.
Entries can be mailed to PO Box 5813, MMC, 4741 or delivered to the Daily Mercury competition boxes at 47 Gordon St, Mackay.
Contestants must be over the age of 18 to enter and can submit more than one entry.
The competition runs until January 21, with entry forms available in every edition of the Daily Mercury until January 19.
Entries received after 12pm, January 21 will not be eligible. The winner will be selected by random draw at the Daily Mercury office at 2pm on January 21 and their name will be published in the Daily Mercury public notices the following day.
