** NO TRAVEL **Australia’s leading contemporary dance company (the Sydney Dance Company) presents a powerful double bill from two acclaimed choreographic talents. The Australian premiere of William Forsythe’s Quintett – one of the most renowned contemporary dance works of the 20th Century, and the world premiere of Rafael Bonachela’s Frame of Mind.
Originally created in 1993, Forsythe’s lyrical masterpiece is set to an unforgettable soundtrack by UK composer Gavin Bryars´ - his iconic 1971 composition "Jesus´ Blood Never Failed Me Yet". Whilst in Bonachela’s Frame of Mind, 16 of the country’s most brilliant dancers perform to a stunning contemporary-classical soundtrack by Bryce Dessner (from American indie rock band The National), recorded by internationally renowned Kronos Quartet.
