Terms and Conditions

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions. By submitting an entry, you (the ‘entrant’) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The promoter is Ardent Leisure Limited (ABN 22 104 529 106) trading as Dreamworld (‘Dreamworld’) of Dreamworld Parkway, Coomera, QLD, 4209
The promotional period begins Wednesday 19th August at 3.00pm AEST and closes at 11.59pm Monday 24th August 2015.
The Competition is only open to Eligible Entrants. An "Eligible Entrant" is an individual who: (i) is a resident of Australia who is over the age of twelve (12) years at the time of entry; and (ii) is not an employee of the Promoter or any of its related corporations or any of their agencies associated with the Competition; and (iii) is not a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether full, half, step or by adoption) of such an employee.  An Eligible Entrant who is under 18 years of age, must obtain the permission of a parent or guardian to enter.
By entering this competition, you consent to Dreamworld using your name in any media at any time or times without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion.
Entries must satisfy the entry requirements below to be valid.  Dreamworld reserves the right to disqualify an entrant for any reason. If, in its absolute discretion, Dreamworld determines that a winning entry is not in strict compliance with these terms and conditions, it reserves its right to disqualify the entrant.  Dreamworld reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry or entrant (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant or entry which is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process.  In the event a winning entry is disqualified prior to prize redemption, a re-draw within a period of seven (7) days from the date of the disqualification.
Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
Prize Description:   There is one major prize to be won.   Prize includes return airfares for 2 adults from the nearest major airport to Gold Coast or Brisbane, 2 nights' accommodation, 3 days car hire, 1 day entry to Dreamworld and WhiteWater World and an exclusive meet and greet with the named tiger cub at Dreamworld.  Total maximum prize value $950.00 AUD.
How to enter:
To enter, log onto dreamworld.com.au/cub-competition during the promotional period and in 25 words or less, tell us what Dreamworld's male tiger cub should be named and why?
Winner selection:
The tiger cub's name will be selected by Dreamworld's tiger handlers.  If there is more than one entry with the winning name, the winner will be selected based on the best reason which was provided in the entries.  If there is more than one entry with the winning name and the same reason provided, the winner will be the first entry with the winning name which was received.  Winner selection is a game of skill.  Random draw does not apply. 
The tiger cub's name will be announced on Channel Nine' "Today Show" on Wednesday 26th August 2015 (subject to change without notice at the program's discretion). The winner will be notified by Dreamworld by email before 5pm on Wednesday 26th August 2015.
Prize Redemption:
Prize must be taken by 24th December 2015.  Travel cannot be taken during 19th September – 11th October 2015 or 23rd -25th October 2015.  All components of the prize are subject to availability.
Prize Conditions:
Selection of airline, flights, accommodation and any other component included in the prizes is at the discretion of Dreamworld. Flights may only be taken from the winner's nearest Australian major airport to the Gold Coast or Brisbane. All components of the prize must be taken together. Each component of the prize is subject to relevant conditions and availability.   Accommodation is based on room hire only.  Any meals or incidental costs are the responsibility of the winner.  Any changes which are required to the specified accommodation are subject to availability and at the expense of the prize winner. The prize winner is subject to the standard conditions of stay as defined by the resort. Prize winner may be required to provide a credit card prior to checking into the hotel. Any bond costs must be provided by the prize winner and will not be payable by Dreamworld.

The car hire vehicle will be available upon arrival at Queensland, for pick from the airport and drop off on departure. It is a condition that the hirer be 25 years and over, and hold a current Australian or New Zealand license. Provisional licenses and learner's permits will not be accepted. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for damage, mistreatment or ill manor to the hire car caused by the hirer. The Promoter will not be liable for any additional expenses incurred by the hirer through mistreatment, illegal behaviors, or a violation of the car hire's terms and conditions of use. The car hire only covers the day rate hire of the car, all insurance, petrol and damage costs will be the responsibility of the prize-winner. Prize winner will need to present a current credit card for security purposes upon collection of the vehicle.

Prize includes unlimited entry to Dreamworld and WhiteWater World for one day.  Park entry is subject to the standard conditions of entry. Cub Experience is subject to all safety conditions as displayed on Dreamworld.com.au at time of booking.

The prize winner will be required to provide at least 3 weeks' notice of intent to travel.  If the winner resides within a 3-hour drive or 240km from Dreamworld and WhiteWater World, airfares and car rental are not included in the prize. Once booked, any changes made to the booking may incur a cancellation fee of amendment fee, at the cost of the winner. Children under the age of 18 years must travel with a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the travel period. Each Prize does not include any additional charges which may be incurred in connection with the redemption of the Prize which have not been outlined in the Prize description including, but not limited to, transfers to and from the origin airport, costs incurred to obtain passports and other necessary travel documents, car hire, travel insurance, spending money, food, costs incurred in the hotel or any other attractions or activities.  Any changes in travel requirements are subject to the prior approval of Dreamworld and any costs incurred in connection with any such change must be covered by the prize winner.  Any additional travel arrangements which are not included in the Prize must be made by the prize winner at his or her cost.

Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged, redeemed for cash or sold.  Each prize must be taken as a whole and no variations can be made.  In the event that a prize winner does not redeem the Prize within the timeframe specified, then the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the Prize.  Prizes must be taken as offered and cannot be varied.   Any unused portion of the prize is not-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for other goods or services and cannot be taken as cash. Any change in the value of the prize between publishing date and the date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the promoter.
Prize selection is game of skill.  The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The judges reserve the right to select additional reserve entries which they determine to be the next best, and record them in order, in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant.
If the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize may be awarded, at the absolute discretion of the promoter, to the prize winner's parent or legal guardian.
Any costs associated with entering the competition are the responsibility of the person seeking entry.
The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
All entrants must ensure that their entries are received by the Promoter during the promotional period. The Promoter takes no responsibility for, and will not compensate any entrant for, any late or misdirected entry or for any delays or failures in any telecommunications service or equipment.
By entering this promotion you accept that Dreamworld will be capturing profile information including email addresses in order to contact the winner.
By entering this competition you agree to be subscribed for further communication from Dreamworld.
In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; Dreamworld may in its absolute discretion cancel the promotion and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to state legislation.
If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Dreamworld, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, Dreamworld reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any direction or limitation imposed by Law. 
Each winner of a prize consents to Dreamworld using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in any media at any time or times without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion, Dreamworld and/or any of Dreamworld's products.
By entering this competition, each entrant consents to the collection of their personal information by or on behalf of Dreamworld for the primary purposes of enabling it to administer the promotion and publicise its winner(s) and to market its products to the entrant. The personal information of each winner may be provided to others assisting in the conduct of the promotion, including the promotion administrator, Prize suppliers and deliverers, and to regulatory authorities. Personal information collected by Dreamworld is dealt with in accordance with these terms and conditions and with its privacy policy, which is available at www.dreamworld.com.au. These terms and conditions will prevail to the extent of any inconsistency.
Any complaint regarding a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles should be addressed to Dreamworld at the address above and will be investigated by an authorised officer. The complainant will be advised of the outcome of the investigation as soon as practicable.
To the full extent permitted by law, Dreamworld, its associated companies and agencies and all those entities' personnel (the "Relevant Parties") exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any entrant in connection with the promotion or Prizes, including: (i) any indirect, economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss arising from the negligence of a Relevant Party; (iii) any liability for personal injury or death. Nothing in these conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify an entrant's rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
Dreamworld assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication including any SMS communication sent to (or by) Dreamworld or any entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise, (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the promotion.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROMOTION, TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO OR TO INTERFERE WITH THE FUNCTIONING OF ENTRY PROCESSES, OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS.
