I personally love learning about local cultures – whilst fuelling my travel wanderlust – through a country’s cinematic storytelling. This week we are invited to explore the world’s largest festival of Russian Cinema (outside of Russia) when it returns to Australia and New Zealand.
With a great line-up of 18 new releases, the 2015 Russian Resurrection Film Festival is bringing the best of the Russian box office down under with a mix of romantic comedies, powerful dramas, psychological thrillers, arthouse gems, family friendly fare and a few high quality children’s animated tales.
In commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of Victory Day, the 2015 line-up will also feature a stunning selection of new and classic war films, for which Russian cinema is internationally famed.
