BEATS, tunes and bounce is what the Sureshaker crew is set to bring to Newcastle next month when the Shake and Bake tour lands at the Cambridge Hotel.
The likes of Bootleg Rascal and Boo-Seeka – each represented by music company Sureshaker – will play a show at the Newcastle hotel on January 22.
In addition to playing their own hits, each group on the Sureshaker tour will remix their favourite tune from the other bands on the bill.
Boo Seeka, Bootleg Rascal, Sureshaker DJ’s and other special guests are lined up to play the Newcastle gig.
Boo-Seeka’s merge of electro and soul shifting sounds has brought a lot of attention to the duo in their short - not yet a year old - lifespan.
It has been a big year for Ben Gumbleton and Sam Croft who have toured their music around Europe twice, supported acts such as Safia and DMA’s and picked up a up a nomination for Triple J unearthed awards.
During their last European tour, the Boo-Seeka pair were caught up in the November 13 Paris terror attacks.
Gumbleton and Croft had just finished playing a show at Les Etoiles, in Paris, alongside fellow Australian artist Jarryd James when they heard about the attacks that left 130 people dead, including 89 at the Bataclan theatre alone, and were put into lockdown.

While shaken by the incident, the pair were not hurt.
Boo-Seeka’s first two singles, Kingdom Leader and Deception Bay, both spiked strong radio interest and good blog reviews.
Their third single, Fool, was released in November.
Bootleg Rascal will also perform at the Cambridge Hotel gig in January.
The foursome consisting of Carlos QDome Lara, Jimmy, Jack Gray and Scottie Grills specialise in a unique “dub-hop” sound.
The band is currently supporting Sticky Fingers, another band in the Sureshaker crew, across Europe before they head home to play Lost Paradise, the New Years Eve Fall’s Festival and the Sureshaker party tour.
